Make the Most of Your Labor Day Weekend: Unlimited Rides Throughout Chicago for $20, Only on the CTA

Extra service provided for Cubs games, Northwestern University football home opener and music concerts

The end of summer is near, but the fun and festivities around the city won’t stop. Take the CTA which is the most affordable and convenient ride you can find. 

During this Labor Day Weekend, we want to remind riders to spend less by taking advantage of CTA’s promotional discount on three of its most popular unlimited-ride passes:

• 1-day/24-hour pass: $5 (down from $10)

• 3-day/72-hour pass: $15 (down from $20)

• 7-day pass: $20 (down from $28)

Labor Day Weekend – Extra Beach Service

This Sat. 9/4 through Mon. 9/6, bus shuttle service will be provided to some of Chicago’s beaches between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. daily:

• #35 31^st/35^th: Shuttle between 35^th/Cottage Grove and 31st Street Beach.

• #63 63^rd: Shuttle between 63^rd/Stony Island and 63^rd Street Beach. 

• #72 North: Shuttle between North Ave./Clark and North Avenue Beach.  

• #78 Montrose: Shuttle between Montrose/Marine and Montrose Beach.

Customers can transfer to and from the beach shuttles at the designated terminal. Shuttles are scheduled to arrive approximately every 15 minutes.

The CTA strongly recommends customers allow extra travel time and plan ahead by using the Google Transit Trip Planner and purchasing fares in advance.

Masks are required on CTA: Per federal mandate, masks or face coverings are required on all CTA properties -- even if you are vaccinated. Free masks are available on every bus and at every rail station.
