How does this affect my trip?
Board/exit all trains on the Forest Park-bound side of the platform at the Jefferson Park station.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Montrose and Harlem (O’Hare branch), resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing station construction to improve the Jefferson Park station as part of the Your New Blue modernization program.


BROWN LINE

Increased Capacity for 2018 Women’s March to the Polls Event

How does this affect my trip?
Longer trains will operate in both directions between Kimball and the Loop.

Why is service being changed?
Added service is being provided for the convenience of customers attending the 2018 Women’s March to the Polls event.

 

GREEN LINE



Mon, Oct 8, 2018 until Further Notice

Ashland/63rd-bound Trains Bypass Halsted Station

How does this affect my trip?
Ashland/63rd-bound trains will not stop at Halsted station.

For service from Halsted station, take a Harlem-bound train to Garfield and transfer to an Ashland/63rd-bound train.

For service to Halsted station, take an Ashland/63rd-bound train to Ashland/63rd and transfer to a Harlem-bound train.

Consider using the adjacent Ashland/63rd Green Line station, where trains in both directions will continue to stop, or use #63 63rd buses to connect with the Ashland/63rd Green Line station.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing station construction to improve the Halsted station.

Garfield Station Stationhouse Temporary Closure

How does this affect my trip?
The Garfield station’s stationhouse is temporarily closed. The elevators to the platforms are temporarily out of service.

Please use the temporary entrance/exit, located approximately 150 feet north of the closed stationhouse. Entry/exiting to/from the station platforms is available by stairs only.

For accessible boarding/exiting of Green Line trains, use the adjacent accessible 51st station. Customers may also use the #3 King Drive bus, paralleling the Green Line, for service to/from downtown, or from 51st station (board #3 buses on King Drive, 1-1/2 blocks east of 51st station); or, the #55 Garfield bus, connecting to Red Line trains at the accessible Garfield Red Line station.

Note: A bus shuttle will be provided between Garfield and 51st stations during certain other types of service impacts during the project. See other alerts for dates and times when this occurs.

Allow extra travel time.

How does this affect my trip?
Shuttle buses will replace rail service between 51st and Ashland/63rd, and between 51st and Cottage Grove.

Trains will operate between Harlem/Lake, downtown and 51st.

Allow extra travel time.

Why is service being changed?
We are performing construction to improve the Garfield station as part of the Garfield Gateway Project.

We are performing structural maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Green and Pink lines.

Pink Line Rerouted to Connect to Racine Blue Line Station

How does this affect my trip?
Trains will operate between 54th/Cermak and Polk, then to Racine Blue Line for connecting Blue Line train service
to/from downtown.

  • For service to downtown from Pink Line stations between 54th/Cermak and Polk, take a Pink Line train toward the Loop and stay on board until the train reaches Racine on the Blue Line, where you can transfer to continuing Blue Line service into downtown.
  • For service from downtown to Pink Line stations between Polk and 54th/Cermak, take a Blue Line train toward Forest Park to Racine and transfer to a Pink Line train toward 54th/Cermak.
  • For service to/from Ashland, Morgan or Clinton stations, use Blue Line service between Racine and Clark/Lake, and Green Line service.

Allow extra travel time.

We are performing track maintenance to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Red Line.

11pm Sun to 1am Mon: Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the 87th station.

Mon, 1am to 4am: Board/exit all trains on the 95th-bound side of the platform at the 87th and 79th stations.

Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between 95th and 69th, resulting in minor delays.

Allow extra travel time.

How does this affect my trip?
Northbound #171 U. of Chicago/Hyde Park
and #172 U. of Chicago/Kenwood buses will begin their trips at 60th/Woodlawn, operate via 60th, Woodlawn, 61st, Cottage Grove, 60th, St. Lawrence, Russell Drive, Payne Drive, 57th, Cottage Grove, and 55th to University.

#171 buses will continue their normal route on 55th.

#172 buses will operate via 55th to Woodlawn, then resume their normal route on Woodlawn.

Southbound #171 and #172 buses will operate via 55th, Rainey Drive, Payne Drive, Russell Drive, St. Lawrence, and 60th to Woodlawn, ending their trips at 60th/Woodlawn.

Allow extra travel time.
