Avoid the Madness of Gas Prices, Parking and Traffic; Enjoy Unlimited Travel on the CTA This Weekend for $15 or Less

Extra service for the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Midwest Regionals and other sporting events; Weekend work to temporarily impact the Blue and Green Lines

As people decide to venture out more to engage with family and friends, they shouldn’t have to worry about skyrocketing gas prices, but instead select the most cost-efficient mode of transit and ride our buses and trains. Customers can save more on unlimited rides by purchasing either the 1-Day ($5) or the 3-Day ($15) CTA passes.

Service for Upcoming Events

United Center – NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Midwest Regionals

Extra service on the #19 United Center Express before and after each game, extra service on #50 Damen route after each game

  • NCAA March Madness Midwest Regional (Session 1) – Fri. 3/25 at 6:15 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

  • NCAA March Madness Midwest Regional (Session 2) – Sun. 3/27 Time TBA

United Center – Other Events

Extra service on the #20 Madison before each event, and extra service on the #19 United Center Express and the #50 Damen routes after each event

  • Buffalo Sabres vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Mon. 3/28 at 7:30 p.m.

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Blue Line Service

  • Between Fri. 3/25 at 10 p.m. and Sat. 3/26 at 10 p.m., a train shuttle will operate between O’Hare and Rosemont stations. More details
  • Note: From 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. each night, Forest Park-bound customers must take a bus shuttle from O’Hare to Rosemont.
  • Service change due to construction work for Your New Blue (YNB) O’Hare Branch Signal Upgrade Project

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Green Line Service

  • Between Sat. 3/26 at 5 a.m. and Sun. 3/27 at 5 p.m., shuttle buses will replace rail service between Garfield and Cottage Grove stations. More details

  • Shuttle buses will operate in both directions serving all affected stations

  • Service changes are due to track maintenance work occurring this weekend

The CTA strongly recommends customers allow extra travel time and plan ahead by using the Google Transit Trip Planner and purchasing fares in advance.

Masks are required on CTA: Per federal mandate, masks or face coverings are required on all CTA properties -- even if you are vaccinated. Free masks are available on every bus and at every rail station.
