Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Unveils New Public Awareness Campaign to Deter Violent Crime on the CTA

Today, Cook County State’s Attorney Eileen O’Neill Burke and CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen announced the roll out of a new initiative to help deter crime on the CTA – the installation of more than 7,000 signs on buses and trains that highlight the CCSAO’s policy of seeking pretrial detention for violent felonies committed on public transit.
