UPDATE: Events Affecting CTA Service Beginning Weekend of November 28-30

Due to changes in construction schedules, work previously scheduled to take place along the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line has been cancelled and work scheduled along the 95th/Dan Ryan branch of the Red Line has been extended until Friday morning, December 5.

Blue Line – Other Events Affecting Service
UPDATE: The following track maintenance work scheduled along the Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line has been cancelled:

  • Western to Pulaski: 9 p.m. Saturday, November 29 until 5 a.m. the following morning
  • Kedzie-Homan to Western: 9 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning on Sunday night, November 30 and Monday night, December 1.
  • Kedzie-Homan to Cicero: 9 p.m. Tuesday, December 2 until 4 a.m. the following morning.

Blue Line trains will operate normally along the Forest Park branch.

Red Line – Other Events Affecting Service
UPDATED: Single Track in Effect for Northbound Red Line Trains between 63rd and Garfield
Due to CTA track maintenance work, a late night single track will be in effect for northbound Red Line trains operating between the 63rd and Garfield stations from 11 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning, beginning Sunday night, November 30 through Friday morning, December 5.

During these times, northbound Red Line customers at Garfield must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.

CTA operators will announce the direction of each train. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
