5/8/02

The Franklin/Orleans Bridge is scheduled to reopen for traffic on Friday, May 10, allowing rush period #37 Sedgwick/Ogden and #125 Water Tower Express buses to resume their regular routing northbound across the Chicago River. The bridge has been closed since January 2 for the reconstruction of Wacker Drive.

#37 Sedgwick/Ogden buses, which operate north through the Loop on Franklin, will remain on Franklin across the river instead of detouring via Washington, LaSalle and Grand to Orleans. Southbound buses will continue to use Wells, except during the Friday afternoon rush period May 10, when buses will be detoured off Wells via Kinzie, LaSalle and Randolph back to Wells for 'L' structure work at Wacker.

#125 Water Tower Express buses, which have been detoured north via Canal, Washington and LaSalle to Ohio, will now operate via Canal, Washington and Franklin/Orleans to Ohio. Southbound buses will continue using Wells to Randolph, except during the Friday afternoon rush period May 10, when buses will be detoured off Wells via Kinzie, LaSalle and Randolph to Clinton for 'L' structure work at Wacker.
