Free rides available from Addison, Sox-35th Red Line stations after each game
Take CTA to the best baseball rivalry – Cubs vs. Sox! CTA will provide additional service this week for the Crosstown Classic at Wrigley Field and Guaranteed Rate Field.
CTA strongly recommends purchasing unlimited-ride passes and fares in advance and to allow extra travel time. More information is provided below.
Wrigley Field, Monday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 25
- Additional bus service on #80 Irving Park and #152 Addison about two hours before each game, and for one hour following the end of the game
- FREE rides will be available at the Addison Red Line station for three hours after each game, courtesy of Miller Lite Free Rides®
Guaranteed Rate Field Wednesday, July 26 and Thursday, July 27
- Additional Red Line service; extra Yellow Line service to be provided from Howard until midnight.
- FREE rides on CTA’s Sox-35th Red Line station will be available for two hours after each game, courtesy of Miller Lite Free Rides®
Buy your unlimited ride passes and fares in advance!
Getting to the ball game is a home run with CTA! Customers can add unlimited ride passes (1-day, 3-day, 7-day and 30-day) or add money their Ventra cards ahead of time via the free Ventra app, at rail station vending machines, online or at nearly 1,300 local retailers (for locations visit ventrachicago.com or the Ventra app).
Other ways to pay fares include purchasing from CTA vending machines 1-day unlimited ride tickets ($10) or single-ride tickets ($3) that include up to two transfers in two hours. Customers can also pay their fares with their personal contactless debit or credit cards.
