Single track service resumed on the Blue Line subway between Grand and LaSalle on the southbound track at 11:57 p.m. Northbound and southbound Blue Line trains are currently sharing the tracks between Grand and LaSalle stations. Customers should allow extra travel time.
Earlier in the evening a northbound Blue Line train derailed in the subway between Clark/Lake and Grand resulting in a small fire in the tunnel. Service was suspended in both directions from Damen to LaSalle while customers were escorted from the Grand Avenue station and from the subway tunnel.
Details on service for Wednesday morning's rush hour will be made available when finalized.
