Save Money and Time on Top of Daylight Savings Time with CTA

CTA’s trains and buses are the best and most affordable ways to get to various sporting events and concerts at the United Center; Weekend construction work to temporarily impact the Green Line

Spring ahead with CTA, your best way to get to work, school and other appointments. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Service for Upcoming Events

United Center Events

  • Utah Hockey Club vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Fri. 3/7 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Disturbed – Sat. 3/8 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Indiana Pacers vs. Chicago Bulls – Mon. 3/10 at 7 p.m.

Service:

  • Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.
  • Bus: Get to and from the following events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Green Line Service

  • Ashland/63rd and Cottage Grove-bound Green Line trains will not stop at the 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station due to track maintenance at the station on the following dates:
  • For Ashland/63rd and Cottage Grove-bound service from this station, take a Harlem-bound train to Cermak-McCormick Place and transfer to an Ashland/63rd or Cottage Grove-bound train.
  • For Ashland/63rd and Cottage Grove-bound service to this station, take an Ashland/63rd or Cottage Grove-bound train to Indiana and transfer to a Harlem-bound train.

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Green Line Service

  • Between 5 a.m., Sat. 3/8 and 7 p.m., Sun. 3/9, Green Line rail service between Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT stations will be temporarily suspended due to track maintenance at the 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station. (More details)
  • Green Line trains will operate between Harlem/Lake, Downtown and Roosevelt, and between 35th-Bronzeville-IIT and Ashland/63rd-Cottage Grove.
  • Shuttle buses replace rail service between Roosevelt and 35th-Bronzeville-IIT.
  • Bus shuttle boarding locations:
  • Roosevelt station:
  • Toward 35th station. Shuttle Stop: On State at Roosevelt, northwest corner (at southbound #29, 62 stop)
  • Cermak-McCormick Place station:
  • Toward Roosevelt station. Shuttle Stop: On State at Cermak, southeast corner (at northbound #29 stop)
  • Direction: Toward 35th station. Shuttle Stop: On State at Cermak, southwest corner (at southbound #29 stop)
  • 35th-Bronzeville-IIT station:
  • Toward Roosevelt station. Shuttle Stop: On 35th at State, northeast corner (at westbound #35 stop)
