ROUTINGS CHANGE FOR EXPRESS CTA BUSES USING WACKER DRIVE

While traffic on lower Wacker Drive remains limited during reconstruction, all four CTA express bus routes that normally use lower Wacker during afternoon rush periods will operate on upper Wacker to their destinations at the Ogilvie Transportation Center (NorthWestern Station) and Union Station.

#120 NorthWestern/Wacker Express and #121 Union/Wacker Express buses that start their trips at Navy Pier will make regular stops west on Grand to Columbus, where they will turn south and cross the Columbus Drive bridge before turning west onto lower South Water. They will then continue west across upper Michigan and into Wacker Place. The buses will stop westbound on Wacker Place at Wabash and on Wacker Drive just west of Wabash and again at State before running express on upper Wacker to their regular destinations.

#122 Illinois Center/NorthWestern Express and #123 Illinois Center/Union Express buses will begin their afternoon rush period trips westbound on upper Wacker Drive just east of Columbus. After making stops westbound on Wacker at Columbus, Michigan, Wabash and State, these buses will run express west on upper Wacker to their regular destinations.

Service during morning rush periods will use the same routing in reverse after reaching upper Wacker Drive from the two Metra stations.
