Yellow Line Service From Howard to Skokie Not Operating

Purple Line Express service for this evening's rush period is cancelled due to an equipment problem in the rail yard at Howard.

Local Purple Line service between Linden and South Blvd. is operating in both directions, however, a bus shuttle is operating for Purple Line customers between Howard station and South Blvd.

Yellow Line service is not operating and customers are being directed to #97 Skokie buses at Howard station.

Red Line trains are operating, however, customers may experience slight delays throughout the rush period.

Earlier today an out of service train derailed in the rail yard at Howard preventing the operation of Purple Express and Yellow Line trains. Crews are working to make the necessary repairs.
