About the plan

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), in conjunction with the Chicago Department of Planning and Development, is continuing its redevelopment study for sites surrounding the Red and Purple Modernization transit construction project (RPM Phase One). This Transit Oriented Development (TOD) study is separate from the RPM Phase One construction project, but is being developed concurrently. The purpose of the study is to encourage specific, community-supported redevelopment strategies for portions of the land impacted by the RPM Phase One project that may remain after construction.

Because the TOD study is community-driven, we rely on your input. These meetings are the third and final round of public meetings for the RPB and LBMM study areas. At the meetings, we will confirm the outcomes of the second meeting and provide residents and business owners with an opportunity to:

  • Review the recommendations based on the year-long public engagement process
  • Provide comments to the CTA and the consulting team prior to publication of the final report
  • Learn what comes next

We look forward to seeing you. If you have questions or need additional information, you may contact us at RPM@transitchicago.com or visit RPM Program.

If you require an interpreter, including sign language services or other accommodations at either meeting, contact Jeff Wilson, CTA Government and Community Relations Director, at least five days prior to the meeting at (312) 681-2712 or JWilson@transitchicago.com.
