Choose CTA During Chicago’s Best Season—the Most Affordable and Convenient Way to Travel
Now through Labor Day weekend, CTA is the #1 option to travel to all the fun summer festivities and get to all the city’s beaches, Navy Pier and museums
Chicago is America’s best summertime city, outshining the rest and making it a top destination spot for residents and tourists alike. No matter if you are headed to a neighborhood festival, a museum or one of the ball parks, only CTA can get you to these events and more at the most affordable price.
Have more fun and spend less on getting there by purchasing one of our multi-day ride passes which can get you anywhere throughout the city for less than a gallon of gas:

1-day/24-hour pass: $5 (down from $10)

3-day/72-hour pass: $15 (down from $20)

7-day pass: $20 (down from $28)
Customers are encouraged to use the multi-day passes to travel to ball games, concerts, festivals, and other events happening throughout summer. Those headed to Chicago’s popular beaches, lakefront and downtown attractions can also take advantage of CTA’s extra bus service.
Beach Service
From Sunday, March 27 to Saturday, June 11, service on the routes below will be extended to the beach on weekends and holidays. From Sunday, June 12, through Friday, August 19, these bus routes will be extended to the beach on all days. From Saturday, August 20 to Monday, September 5, bus shuttle service will be provided from these routes to the beach on weekends and holidays only.
Service to Navy Pier and Museums
The following routes will also run a summer service schedule from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day:

#10 Museum of Science & Industry: Service between Michigan/Chestnut and Museum of Science & Industry will operate daily.

#124 Navy Pier: Service will be extended by 90 minutes in the evening daily. Eastbound service from Union/Ogilvie stations will run until 11:30pm. Westbound service from Navy Pier will run until 12 midnight.

#130 Museum Campus: Service between Union/Ogilvie stations and Museum Campus/Planetarium will operate daily.

The CTA strongly recommends customers allow extra travel time and plan ahead by purchasing fares in advance and downloading the Ventra app, which allows you to manage your Ventra account, and also features a new trip planning tool powered by Google Maps.
Masks are no longer required on CTA: While the city continues to see low levels of transmission of COVID-19, customers and employees who wish to continue wearing masks are encouraged to do so. We ask all customers to be courteous and respectful to fellow riders.
