Beginning at 4 a.m., Saturday, June 14, the main entrance to the Montrose Brown Line stationhouse will temporarily close for maintenance.
Trains will continue to serve Montrose station. Customers may use the auxiliary stairs located on the north side of the street to reach the platforms and access Brown Line trains. Platforms will be equipped with a temporary fare box.
The two elevators at Montrose station will not operate during the 48-hour closure. Customers with disabilities may take the following accessible buses as alternate service: #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick, #22 Clark, #49 Western, #X49 Western Express, #50 Damen, #78 Montrose, #80 Irving Park, #X80 Irving Park Express, #81 Lawrence and #145 Wilson/Michigan Express.
The Montrose stationhouse will reopen to customers at 4 a.m. Monday morning, June 16.
