The Chicago Transit Authority is rerouting two bus routes around street closures in place near Midway Airport until further notice.
Affected CTA bus routes are the #55A 55th/Austin (accessible) and #55N 55th/Narragansett (accessible).
Westbound #55A buses traveling towards Midway are operating via 55th, Laramie, Archer, Austin to 55th, then resuming the regular route. The eastbound reroute is the reverse.
Westbound #55N buses are operating via 55th, Laramie, Archer, Narragansett to 55th, then resuming the regular route. The eastbound reroute is the reverse.
The #55A operates during weekday rush periods only between 5:30 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. and again at 3:25 p.m. and 5:55 p.m. between Austin/65th east and the Orange Line Midway station.
The #55N operates weekdays between 5:20 a.m. and 8 p.m. and weekends between 5:55 a.m. and 6:55 p.m. between Narrangansett/63rd and the Orange Line Midway station.
