Maintenance Temporarily Closes Two Elevators on Tuesday

Elevators at the Montrose Brown Line and Davis Purple Line Stations Out of Service

Due to scheduled maintenance work, elevators on the northbound platforms at the Montrose Brown Line and the Davis Purple Line stations temporarily will be unavailable from 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 29 until 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 30.
 
Montrose Brown Line Station
Northbound Brown Line customers who want to exit at Montrose and need elevator access should ride to Damen and board a southbound train back to Montrose. Northbound customers boarding at Montrose who need elevator access should take the elevator to the southbound platform and board a southbound train to the Irving Park station, then transfer to a northbound train.
 
Davis Purple Line Station
Northbound Purple Line customers who want to exit at Davis and need elevator access should ride to Foster and board a southbound train back to Davis. Northbound customers at Davis who need elevator access should take the elevator to the southbound platform and board a southbound train to the South Boulevard station, then transfer to a northbound train.
 
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. To check the status of elevators across the CTA rail system, customers can call the elevator status hotline at 1-888-YOUR-CTA, wait for prompts to begin, then press 5 and then 2.
