Brown, Orange and Pink Line trains will be rerouted this weekend on the Loop elevated tracks while crews work to upgrade signal equipment. Elevated trains that normally travel along the Wells and Van Buren streets tracks will be rerouted to the elevated tracks along Lake and Wabash from the start of service Sunday morning through the end of service Sunday night.
Trains will be rerouted as follows:
Elevated stations along Wells and Van Buren streets will be served by a shuttle train that will make stops at Washington/Wells, Quincy/Wells, LaSalle/Van Buren and Library station.
Brown Line trains will follow their normal route from Kimball to the Loop. In the Loop, Brown Line trains will operate clockwise making stops at Clark/Lake, State/Lake, Randolph/Wabash, Madison/Wabash and Adams/Wabash, then proceed to Roosevelt station where they will operate as Orange Line trains to Midway.
Orange Line trains will follow their normal route from Midway to Roosevelt. In the Loop, Orange Line trains will operate counterclockwise making stops at Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake and Clark/Lake, then proceed to Merchandise Mart station where they will operate as Brown Line trains to Kimball.
Pink Line trains will follow their normal route from 54th/Cermak to Library station. From Library, Pink Line trains will switch tracks and operate counterclockwise making stops at Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake and Clark/Lake, then proceed to Clinton station where normal Pink Line service will resume.
Green Line trains will be unaffected, operating normally through the Loop.
Normal service on the Loop elevated lines will resume Monday morning, January 26.
