Improvements to Addison Red Line Station Require Weekend Closure
Track improvements on the Red Line at Addison will require the temporary closure of the station this weekend, from 10 p.m. Friday, March 29 until 4 a.m. Monday, April 1, 2019.
During this temporary weekend closure, free bus shuttle service will operate between the Addison and Belmont Red Line stations. CTA encourages customers to allow for extra time.
The improvements to the Addison Red Line will provide a smoother ride and eliminate slow zones in preparation for the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) Phase One Project, which will begin later this year and is CTA’s largest project in history.
