Let CTA Be Your Ride As October Fall Festivals Are In Full Swing

CTA’s trains and buses are the best and most affordable ways to get to various sporting events, concerts, and the Bucktown 5K in the Bucktown neighborhood; Weekend construction work to temporarily impact the Pink Line

Ride on CTA as you travel to school, work, appointments and other destinations around the city. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Service for Upcoming Events

Bucktown 5K

Burr Elementary School, Wabansia and Marshfield – Sun. 10/6 at 8:30 a.m.

Service:

  • Rail: Take the Blue Line and exit at the Damen station.
  • Bus: Several CTA routes will provide the closest service to the festival including the following:
    • #9 Ashland
    • #72 North

United Center

  • Preseason Game: Minnesota Wild vs. Chicago Blackhawks – Fri. 10/4 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Peso Pluma – Sat. 10/5 and Sun. 10/6 at 8 p.m.
  • $uicideBoys$ - Tue. 10/8 at 6:30 p.m.
  • Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'n Out Live! – Wed. 10/9 at 8 p.m.

Service:

  • Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the new Damen Green Line station or Ashland station. Take the Pink Line and exit at the Ashland station.
  • Bus: Get to and from the following events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.

Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island

Service on the #146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express route

  • Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals – Fri. 10/4 at 8 p.m.

Soldier Field

Service on the #128 Soldier Field Express and #146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express routes

  • Carolina Panthers vs. Chicago Bears – Sun. 10/6 at 12 p.m.

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Loop Pink Line Service

  • Between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sat. 10/5, rail service on the Pink Line will operate counterclockwise on the Outer Loop tracks (More details)
  • Customers should board/exit Pink Line trains on the Brown Line platform at all Loop stations.
  • This service change is due to track maintenance that ensures trains continue to operate safely.
