CTA will get you around Chicagoland safely and economically. Customers can save money by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Greek Independence Parade
Halsted Street, from Harrison and Randolph – Sun. 4/19 at 2:30 p.m.
- Rail: Take the Blue Line and exit at the UIC-Halsted station. Take the Green or Pink lines and exit at the Morgan station.
- Bus: Several CTA bus routes in the area will be rerouted including the following:
- #8 Halsted
- #20 Madison
- #126 Jackson

Wrigley Field
- New York Mets vs. Chicago Cubs – Fri. 4/17, Sat. 4/18 and Sun. 4/19 at 1:20 p.m.
- Philadelphia Phillies vs. Chicago Cubs – Mon. 4/20, Tue. 4/21 and Wed. 4/22 at 6:40 p.m.
Service:
- Red Line: The Addison station is located just a half block east of Wrigley Field.
- Purple Line: Before weekday night games/events, Loop-bound Purple Line Express trains will stop at the Sheridan station.
- NEW FOR 2026: Linden-bound Purple Line Express trains will stop at Sheridan for all weekday Cubs day games. Exit out the Budweiser Bleacher Gate and walk 2.5-blocks north to Sheridan for trains to Howard and Linden. (More details)
- Yellow Line: Take the Yellow Line and transfer at Howard to the Red Line; continue to Addison station. To accommodate fans returning home, the Yellow Line will run for an hour later from Howard – until midnight – for all night games at Wrigley Field. (More details)
- #152 Addison: The #152 route will provide additional service on Cubs game days, with more frequent service two hours before and one hour after all games.
- Adjacent bus routes: Several CTA bus routes serve the Wrigley Field area, including:
- #8 Halsted
- #22 Clark
- #36 Broadway
- #80 Irving Park
- #151 Sheridan
Beach Service to the Lakefront
Now through mid-August, Weekend/Holiday beach service will operate directly to Chicago’s beaches on the following bus routes:
· #35 31st/35th
· #63 63rd
· #72 North
· #78 Montrose
Weekday beach service will begin on Monday, June 8th. (More details)
Construction Work to Temporarily Impact Brown Line Service
- Between 10 p.m. on Friday 4/17 and 2:30 a.m. on Monday 4/20, the Western Brown Line station will be temporarily closed. (More details)
- Customers should use the nearby Rockwell station.
- A free bus shuttle will operate between the Western and Damen stations.
- This service change is due to improvements as part of the Western Brown Line station modernization.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Green Line Service
- Between 4:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Sun. 4/19, rail service between the Laramie and the Ashland stations will be temporarily suspended. (More details)
- Green Line trains will operate between Harlem and Laramie, and between Ashland and Ashland/63rd-Cottage Grove.
- Shuttle buses will make stops at the Laramie and Ashland stations.
- Additionally, shuttle buses will make courtesy stops near Green Line stations between Cicero and Damen on Washington and Warren.
- This service change is due to structural maintenance work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Green Line.
Temporary Bus Reroutes Downtown on Southbound State Street
- Now until Mon. 5/25, Southbound State Street will be closed between Wacker and Randolph. (More details)
- Northbound buses are not affected.
- Buses traffic will be rerouted. Board buses as follows:
- Board southbound #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #29 State, #36 Broadway, #62 Archer and #146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express buses on the southwest corner at State/Washington.
- Board southbound #146 Inner Lake Shore/Michigan Express buses at Michigan/South Water.
- These Southbound buses are affected due to construction.
