Late Night Reroute of Northbound Brown Line Trains at the Fullerton Station This Week

October 6, 2009

To allow crews to perform work on the platform canopies at the Fullerton station, a late night reroute will be in effect for northbound Brown Line trains between the Armitage and Wellington stations for three nights this week. From 9 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Tuesday night, October 6 through Friday morning, October 9, northbound Brown Line customers at the Fullerton station must board and exit trains from the northbound Red Line side of the platform.

Southbound Red and Brown line trains are unaffected and customers will continue to board and exit from their normal platforms.

During these times, northbound Brown Line trains will be unable to stop at the Diversey station, but will make stops at the Wellington station.

Northbound Brown Line customers who want to exit at Diversey should ride to Wellington and transfer to a southbound train to Diversey. Customers at Diversey who want to travel north should take a southbound train to Fullerton and transfer to a northbound train.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the route and direction of each train.
