Now through Labor Day weekend, CTA is the best choice to travel to all the summer activities and get to all the city’s beaches, Navy Pier, museums and more
Chicago is America’s best summertime city, making it a top destination spot for residents and tourists with beautiful views all around. No matter if you are headed to a concert, neighborhood festival, a museum or one of the stadiums, only CTA can get you to these events and more at the most affordable price.
Enjoy festive summer fun and spend less on getting there by purchasing one of our multi-day ride passes which can get you anywhere throughout the city for less than a gallon of gas:
- 1-day/24-hour pass: $5
- 3-day/72-hour pass: $15
- 7-day pass: $20
Customers are encouraged to use the multi-day passes to travel to ball games, concerts, festivals, and other events happening throughout summer. Those headed to Chicago’s popular beaches, lakefront and downtown attractions can also take advantage of CTA’s affordable bus service.
From Saturday, May 27 through end of service Saturday, June 3, bus shuttle service will be provided on the routes below to get to and from Chicago’s beaches and lakefront parks. Starting June 4, the following routes will operate directly to the lakefront.
- #63 63rd
*Note: Due to CDOT construction at the beach parking lot, the CTA service stop for customers heading to the beach will be at a crosswalk on the south side of Hayes Drive and Lakeshore Drive.
Service to Navy Pier and Museums
The following routes will also run a summer service schedule from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day:
- #124 Navy Pier: Service will be extended by 90 minutes in the evening daily. Eastbound service from Union/Ogilvie stations will run until 11:30pm. Westbound service from Navy Pier will run until midnight.
- #130 Museum Campus: Service between Union/Ogilvie stations and Museum Campus/Planetarium will operate daily.
Know before you go!
The CTA strongly recommends customers allow extra travel time and plan ahead by downloading the Ventra app, which allows you to manage your Ventra account, and also features a new trip planning tool powered by Google Maps.
