Introducing the New ‘Moving Experiences: Stories of the CTA’ Podcast

March 30, 2025

The podcast will feature conversations with CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen, CTA employees, thought leaders in the public transit industry-- among others

Today, the Chicago Transit Authority released the first episode of the new podcast “Moving Experiences: Stories of the CTA.” CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen will serve as host, but occasionally, guests hosts will be welcomed to moderate special episodes.

“The idea for this podcast came from my interest in hearing stories of the CTA from its employees, its riders, and the people who love the system,” said CTA Acting President Nora Leerhsen. “On this podcast, we're going to be introducing you to those people and having engaging discussions about transit and our great agency.”

This podcast will feature CTA employees, thought leaders in the public transit industry and related areas as well as other interesting guests. On occasion, special CTA presentations will be featured.

The CTA is releasing the inaugural episode to close out Women’s History Month with a conversation focused on female leaders in transit. In Episode 1: “You Just Happen to be a Woman,” Leerhsen hosts a conversation with Director of Bus Operations Arlana Johnson and Vice-President of Rail Operations Jeannie Alexander.

Episodes of “Moving Experiences: Stories of the CTA” will be available to download on all major services including Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Episodes will also be available at transitchicago.com/podcast.
