CTA’s trains and buses will get you to various sporting events and concerts at the United Center and the Argyle Street Luner New Year Parade and Celebration in Uptown; Construction work to temporarily impact the Brown and Red Lines

Argyle Street Lunar New Year Parade and Celebration
Uptown, Argyle St. between Broadway and Sheridan – Sat. 2/21 at 10:30 a.m.
Service:
- Rail: Take the Red Line and exit at the Argyle station.
- Bus: Several CTA routes will provide the closest service to the event including the following:
- #36 Broadway
- #92 Foster
- #151 Sheridan

United Center Events
- Toronto Raptors vs. Chicago Bulls – Thu. 2/19 at 7 p.m.
- Detroit Pistons vs. Chicago Bulls – Sat. 2/21 at 7 p.m.
- New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls – Sun. 2/22 at 7 p.m.
- Charlotte Hornets vs. Chicago Bulls – Tue. 2/24 at 7 p.m.
- Andrea Bocelli – Wed. 2/25 at 8 p.m.
Service:
- Rail: Take the Green Line and exit at the Damen station or exit at the Ashland station from either a Green or Pink line train.
- Get to and from these events via the #20 Madison and #50 Damen bus routes. Customers can also take the #19 United Center Express route post event.
Construction Work to Temporarily Impact Brown Line Service
- Between 3 a.m. on Thu. 2/19 and 4 a.m. on Sun. 3/1, Kimball-bound Brown Line trains will not stop at the Western station. (More details)
- For Kimball-bound service from this station, take a Loop-bound train to Damen and transfer to a Kimball-bound train.
- For Kimball-bound service to this station, take a Kimball-bound train to Rockwell and transfer to a Loop-bound train.
- Note: For accessible boarding/exiting of Brown Line trains, use the Rockwell or Damen stations.
- This service change is due to improvements at the Western Brown Line station.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Brown Line Service
- On Sun. 2/22 between 5 a.m. to 6 p.m., shuttle buses will replace rail service between Fullerton and stations in the Loop. (More details)
- Brown Line trains will operate between Kimball and Armitage, only.
- Shuttle buses will operate between Fullerton and Clark/Lake, making intermediate stops near the Armitage, Sedgwick, Chicago and Merchandise Mart stations. Riders may use Orange, Green and Pink Line trains to travel between Clark/Lake and other Loop stations.
- Riders may also consider Red Line subway trains for convenient, continuing train service to and from downtown. Free transfer is available between Red and Brown Line trains at both Belmont and Fullerton stations.
- Note: There will also be a boarding change at Fullerton, Diversey, Wellington and Belmont. For all Brown Line trains (both to Fullerton or back toward Kimball), board on the Loop-bound platform at these stations.
- This service change is due to track maintenance work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Brown Line.
Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Red Line Service
- Between 10 p.m. Sun. 2/22 to 4 a.m. Mon. 2/23, 95th-bound trains will not stop at Jarvis, Morse, Loyola, Granville or Thorndale stations. (More details)
- For 95th-bound service from these stations, take a Howard-bound train to Howard and transfer to a 95th-bound train.
- For 95th-bound service to these stations, take 95th-bound train to Bryn Mawr and transfer to a Howard-bound train.
- Alternate service through the affected area is available on the #36 Broadway and #151 Sheridan bus routes during their normal hours of operation (normal bus fares apply).
- These service changes are due to signal improvements being made to allow trains to operate more efficiently as part of the Red and Purple Modernization (RPM) project.
