Hop Around Town on CTA this Easter Weekend

April 17, 2025

CTA’s trains and buses are the best and most affordable ways to get to various sporting events across town this holiday weekend; Weekend construction work to temporarily impact the Green Line

While the price of eggs might put a damper on your Easter egg hunting, CTA is still affordable, not to mention the best and most convenient way to get around town this holiday weekend.  Customers can save by purchasing an unlimited rides pass, either the 1-Day ($5) – far more economical and convenient than the price of gas and parking - or the 3-Day ($15) pass – a real budget-saving move.

Weekend Work to Temporarily Impact Green Line Service

  • Between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m., on Sat. 4/19, customers will board/exit all Green Line trains on the Harlem-bound platform at the California and Damen stations. (More details)
  • Trains in both directions will operate on the same track between Kedzie and Ashland, resulting in minor delays. This service change is due to track maintenance work to ensure that trains continue to operate safely along the Green Line.
