Here Comes Santa Claus, Here Comes Santa Claus, Riding on a CTA Train!

November 9, 2010
All aboard the Holiday Train! Santa and his reindeer make their annual visit around Chicago starting Saturday, November 20. The train—now in its 19th year—is a festive tradition and a fun way to enjoy the city during the holiday season.

Santa and his helpers will travel in his sleigh on a flat car which is pulled by a six-car CTA train. Customers are invited to ride inside the cars which are decorated with multi-colored lights, bows and garland and feature holiday music.

The Holiday Train’s first stop is along the Red and Purple lines. The train will travel along all CTA rail lines throughout November and December as part of its regular rail service and normal CTA fares apply.

Check the schedule for the appearance of the train along your favorite route. Schedules for each individual line will vary and are subject to change. Schedule details will be posted on the CTA’s website at transitchicago.com/travel_information/holidaytrain.aspx.
