Extra CTA buses will serve the annual Grant Park Music Festival, which begins Friday, June 14. Friday and Saturday concerts are scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. throughout the 2002 season, which continues through Sunday, September 8. Most weekday and Sunday concerts will start at 6:30 p.m.
The Grant Park concerts are held in the Petrillo Music Shell, at Jackson and Columbus Drives, a block east of Michigan and just north of Buckingham Fountain, and can be reached from any bus or 'L' that serves the Loop. Some of this year's concerts will be at other locations.
Extra buses on the #6 Jeffery Express, #146 Marine/Michigan Express and #151 Sheridan routes will await customers after every Grant Park performance westbound on Monroe at Columbus. From there the buses will proceed over their regular routes.
