Pedway Work Closes Addison West of Central Late Friday through Sunday Work on an overhead hospital pedway will close Addison between Central and Parkside from 7 p.m. Friday, October 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, October 6. #152 Addison buses will be detoured via Central, Irving Park and Austin back to Addison in both directions.
Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and SaturdaySewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require Red Line trains to use a single track between Grand and Clark/Division from 11 p.m. Friday, October 4 until 5 a.m. Saturday, October 5, and from 11 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday. The work will affect trains serving stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
Weekend Construction Detours Buses Off Central Park and Kedzie at 19thConstruction work will close Central Park between 19th and 21st from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday, October 5, detouring #82 Kimball/Homan buses via Cermak and Ogden to Central Park. Kedzie will be closed between 19th and 21st from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, October 6, detouring #52 Kedzie/California buses via Cermak, Marshall, Sacramento and Ogden to Kedzie in both directions.
Construction Closes Montrose at Ravenswood Sunday, October 6Montrose will be closed for work on the Brown Line 'L' structure west of Ravenswood Sunday, October 6 from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Buses on the #78 Montrose route will be detoured off Montrose in both directions via Ashland, Wilson and Damen back to Montrose. The Montrose 'L' station is not affected.
Structure Work Affects Two Brown Line Stations Sunday, October 6Work on the 'L' structure north of the Merchandise Mart will require Brown Line trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Chicago and Sedgwick Sunday, October 6 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Chinatown ?Double Ten? Parade Closes Cermak at Midday SundayThe Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association's ?Double Ten? Parade will be held Sunday, October 6 from 12:30 p.m. until about 2:30 p.m. closing Wentworth from 25th Place to Cermak, and Cermak from Wentworth to Princeton. #21 Cermak, X21 Cermak Express, #44 Wallace/Racine and #62 Archer buses will be detoured via Canal, 18th and Clark in both directions.
Sewer Work Closes California at Monroe Starting Monday, October 7Sewer work will close California at Monroe from Monday, October 7 through the end of November. #94 South California buses will be detoured off California via Madison, Sacramento and Jackson back to California in both directions.
#19 Express Buses Serve United Center for Cher Concert TuesdayBuses on the #19 United Center Express route will serve the United Center for the Cher concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8. Fully accessible #19 buses will operate every 12 minutes from 6:05 p.m. until 8:20 p.m., starting southbound on Michigan from Chicago. Stops will be made at Illinois and Randolph before the buses turn west on Madison, where they will stop at Wabash, State and Wells for customers transferring from 'L' or subway trains, and at Clinton for Metra riders from the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station. Buses will then run express to the United Center. After the concert #19 buses will await riders eastbound on Madison near Gate 3 for return trips downtown via Madison, Green and Washington to Michigan, where all stops will be made north to Chicago.
