EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE STARTING THE WEEKEND OF OCTOBER 12 - 14

Track Work Affects Forest Park Blue Line Trains Starting Friday Night Track work at Kedzie will require trains on the Forest Park Branch of the Blue Line to use a single track while serving the Western and Kedzie stations from 10 p.m. Friday, October 12, until 2 a.m., Monday, October 15. During this period, every other train from O'Hare will operate only to UIC-Halsted, while the rest will continue to the terminal at Forest Park. Trains will run every 10 to 15 minutes between O'Hare and UIC-Halsted, and every 20 to 30 minutes between UIC-Halsted and Forest Park.

Brown and Orange Line Trains Detoured Off Wells For Canopy WorkThe removal of a protective canopy at Randolph/Wells will require Brown and Orange Line trains to serve stations only on the Lake and Wabash sides of the Loop Saturday and Sunday, October 13-14. During this period, trains will operate on a through route from Kimball to Midway. Shuttle buses will be available to take customers from the Clark/Lake and Adams/Wabash stations to the vicinity of closed stations at Washington/Wells, Quincy/Wells, LaSalle/Van Buren and Library-State/Van Buren.

Sunday Construction Detours Irving Park Buses from Sheridan to ClarkConstruction work on the Red Line at Irving Park will detour #80 Irving Park buses off Irving Park via Sheridan/Sheffield, Addison and Clark back to Irving Park in both directions from 6 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, October 14.

Construction Detours Westbound Buses Off Foster from Ashland to Damen Viaduct construction at Ravenswood will detour #50 Damen and #92 Foster buses off Foster westbound only from 6 a.m. Monday, October 15, until about December 1. During this time westbound #92 Foster buses will be detoured off Foster via Ashland, Lawrence and Damen back to Foster. #50 Damen buses will start their southbound trips west on Bryn Mawr from Clark to Damen, where they will then return to the regular route southbound on Damen. Buses on both routes will continue to use Foster eastbound, sharing a single lane with other traffic.

Sewer Work Detours Buses Off Chicago From Ashland to Damen Monday Sewer construction will close Chicago Avenue at Wolcott from 9 a.m. Monday, October 15, through 6 p.m. Tuesday, October 16. #66 Chicago buses will be detoured in both directions via Ashland, Augusta and Damen back to Chicago.
