Late Night Track Work Affects Red Line Trains North of Granville May 2 - 3 Track work will require northbound Red Line trains to bypass stations at Loyola, Morse and Jarvis late Thursday and Friday nights. From 10 p.m. Thursday, May 2, until 4 a.m. Friday, May 3, and during the same hours Friday night, customers who wish to exit northbound trains at the bypassed stations should ride north to Howard and change to a southbound train. Customers wishing to travel north from the stations should ride a southbound train to Granville and change to a northbound train.

Polish Constitution Day Parade Closes Columbus at Midday on SaturdayColumbus Drive will be closed between Roosevelt and Monroe Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. for the Polish Constitution Day Parade. Scheduled to start at noon, the parade will proceed north on Columbus from Balbo to Monroe. Buses on the #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry and #146 Marine/Michigan Express routes will be detoured from Columbus to Michigan in both directions between Roosevelt and Balbo.

Weekend Bus Service to North Avenue Beach Starts Saturday, May 4 #72 North buses will serve the North Avenue beach on weekends, starting Saturday, May 4, and continuing through September 29. From 9 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays, #72 buses will operate via North, Clark and LaSalle Drive to a lakefront terminal just north of the beach house. At other times buses will use the terminal at North and Clark. #72 buses are equipped with bike racks for customers who wish to take their bicycles with them. #63 63rd buses, which also have bike racks, will serve the beach at 63rd Street on weekends after construction is completed on Lake Shore near Hayes Drive later this month.

Sewer Work Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Saturday, May 4 Overnight sewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require all Red Line trains to use the northbound track between Lake and Roosevelt from 10 p.m. Saturday, May 4, until 6 a.m. Sunday, May 5. During this period, trains will run 15 minutes apart in both directions while serving stations at Lake, Washington, Monroe, Jackson, Harrison and Roosevelt.

Maintenance Work Affects Brown Line North of Addison Sunday, May 5Maintenance work will require all Brown Line trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Damen, Montrose and Irving Park Sunday, May 5, from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Trains will run every 15 to 18 minutes in both directions.

Police March Closes Michigan at Chicago Early Sunday Morning, May 5The annual St. Jude Police Memorial March will close Michigan from Wacker to Chicago Sunday, May 5, from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. Traffic on Chicago from Michigan to State will also be affected. #36 Broadway buses will be detoured northbound via Ontario, Dearborn and Delaware to State, and southbound via Chestnut, Clark and Ohio to State. #66 Chicago buses will operate east via LaSalle and Illinois to Navy Pier and west via Grand and LaSalle to Chicago. #146 Marine/Michigan Express and #151 Sheridan buses will be detoured off Michigan southbound via Pearson, Mies Van der Rohe, Fairbanks, Columbus and South Water to Michigan. Buses will make the same detour in reverse north to Chicago, as will #3 King Drive buses that operate to Ontario/Fairbanks.

Cinco de Mayo Parade Detours Four Bus Routes at Midday Sunday, May 5 Service on four bus routes will be affected by the Cinco de Mayo Parade Sunday, May 5, from noon until about 3 p.m. The line of march will be south from Cermak via Marshall, 24th Boulevard, and California to 31st. #21 Cermak and X21 Cermak Express buses will be detoured in both directions via Kedzie, Ogden and California back to Cermak. #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate via Kedzie, Ogden and Western back to 26th. #94 South California buses will be detoured both ways via Cermak, Western and 35th to California.

Bridge Work Detours Buses Off Halsted at Division Wednesday, May 8The bridge over the North Branch Canal of the Chicago River at Halsted will be closed for repairs Wednesday, May 8, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. #8 Halsted buses will be detoured off Halsted in both directions via Division and Hooker back to Halsted.
