103rd Street Closed from St. Lawrence to Cottage Grove until June 12
Construction has closed 103rd Street eastbound only, from St. Lawrence to Cottage Grove. Closures are in effect weekdays only from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Eastbound #106 East 103rd buses are operating via King Drive to 107th, to Cottage Grove to 103rd back to the regular route.
Damen Closed for Rehab of the Cermak (Douglas) Branch of the Blue Line
Damen will be closed between Cullerton and 21st Street this weekend and next due to the ongoing renovation of the Blue Line. #50 Damen buses will be rerouted northbound via Cermak, Ashland and 18th Street in both directions. Damen is expected to reopen by 5:00 a.m. Monday May 5 and May 12.
Police March Closes Parts of Michigan, Chicago and State Sunday Morning
The annual St. Jude Police Memorial March will close Michigan Avenue from Wacker Drive to Chicago Avenue Sunday, May 4 from 7:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Chicago Avenue from Michigan to State and State from Chicago to Superior will also be affected. #36 Broadway buses will be detoured northbound via Ontario, Dearborn and Delaware to State and southbound via Chestnut, LaSalle and Ohio to State. #66 Chicago buses will operate eastbound via LaSalle and Illinois to Navy Pier and west via Grand and LaSalle to Chicago. #145 Wilson/Michigan Express, #146 Marine/Michigan Express and #151 Sheridan buses will be detoured off Michigan southbound via Walton, Mies Van der Rohe, Chicago, Fairbanks/Columbus and South Water to Michigan, resuming regular routes. Northbound buses to Chicago Avenue will use the same detour in reverse, as will northbound #3 King Drive buses that operate to Ontario and Fairbanks.
Cinco de Mayo Parade Closes Cermak Midday Sunday
Cermak will be closed between Ashland and Marshall from 9:00 a.m. until at least 5:00 p.m. for the Cinco de Mayo Parade. #21 Cermak and #X21 Cermak Express buses will operate in both directions via Kedzie, Ogden and California back to Cermak. #94 South California buses will detour in both directions via Cermak, Western and 35th to California. Supervisors will be on hand to assist customers.
Bridge Work Affects Brown Line Service to the Loop Early Sunday Morning
Work on the Wells Street bridge will require Brown Line trains to end southbound trips at the Merchandise Mart with no Loop service between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Sunday, May 4. Shuttle buses from the Merchandise Mart station will operate through the Loop making all stops within one block of all Loop 'L' stations via Wells, Kinzie, LaSalle, Jackson, State, Randolph, LaSalle, Hubbard and Wells.
Helicopter Lift Closes Stockton South of Fullerton Wednesday Morning
A helicopter lift to a building on Lincoln Park West will close Stockton between Webster and Fullerton Wednesday, May 7 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle buses will be detoured off Stockton in both directions via Fullerton, Clark, Webster and Stockton.
