Sewer Rodding Affects Blue Line Subway Overnight Friday and SaturdayRodding of the sewers in the Blue Line subway will require trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe and Jackson from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights. A supplemental schedule will be in effect during this period, with longer intervals between trains.
Weekend Blue Line Construction Closes Kedzie from 19th to 21st Construction on the Cermak (Douglas) branch of the Blue Line will close Kedzie between 19th and 21st from 6 a.m. Saturday, March 22 until 6 p.m. Sunday, March 23. #52 Kedzie/California buses will be detoured off Kedzie in both directions via Ogden, Sacramento, Marshall, Cermak and Kedzie.
Helicopter Lift Closes Michigan from Jackson to Congress Early SaturdayMichigan will be closed from Jackson to Congress from 7:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22 for a helicopter lift. #126 Jackson buses will end their trips east at Michigan and return west on Adams. Southbound #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove and #145 Wilson/Michigan Express buses will be detoured via Jackson, Columbus and Congress to Michigan. Northbound #3, #4 and #6 Jeffery Express buses will use Congress, State and Jackson to Michigan.
Track Work Affects Brown Line Service Sunday, March 23Track work will require Brown Line trains to use a single track while serving the Chicago and Sedgwick stations Sunday, March 23 from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Trains will operate every 15 minutes instead of 10 minutes apart.
Shamrock Shuffle Race Affects Buses Downtown Sunday MorningThe LaSalle Bank's Shamrock Shuffle Race will start at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 23 north on Columbus from Jackson in Grant Park. Buses on 14 routes serving downtown and the Near West Side may be delayed briefly as the racers proceed west from Columbus via Monroe, Aberdeen, Adams and Laflin to Jackson. The racers will return downtown via Jackson, Halsted, Adams, Jefferson and Jackson to Columbus. #126 Jackson buses will be detoured eastbound only via Ashland, Madison, Halsted, Washington and Michigan to Jackson.
