EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE STARTING THE WEEKEND OF JUNE 28 - 30

Taste of Chicago Festival Detours Buses Off Columbus DriveCTA buses that normally use Columbus are being detoured to Michigan between Roosevelt and Balbo for the Taste of Chicago Festival June 28 ? July 7. The affected routes are the #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #127 North Western/Madison, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Marine/Michigan Express. In addition, #7 Harrison and #126 Jackson buses are ending their eastbound trips via Michigan and Harrison to Wabash. New trips will begin north on Michigan from Balbo. Red Line Serves Comiskey Park for Crosstown Series June 28 ? 30The CTA's Red Line makes it easy to reach Comiskey Park for this weekend's crosstown baseball series where the White Sox will host the Cubs. Fans heading to the games at 1:05 p.m. Friday, 12:15 p.m. Saturday, and 1:05 p.m. Sunday will have the chance to pick up a commemorative poster upon arrival at the Sox-35th station.

Gay and Lesbian Parade Affects North Side Bus Routes Sunday, June 30 Seven CTA bus routes will be detoured by the Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade, which is scheduled to start at noon Sunday, June 30, north on Halsted from Belmont. Halsted will be closed from Fullerton to Belmont shortly after 10 a.m. while participants assemble. The line of march for the parade, which is expected to last about 3? hours, will be north on Halsted to Broadway and south via Broadway, Diversey and Cannon Drive to Fullerton. The affected routes are the #8 Halsted, #22 Clark, #36 Broadway, #76 Diversey, #77 Belmont, #151 Sheridan and #152 Addison. #8 buses will end their trips north via Halsted, Lincoln and Diversey to Halsted. #22 and #36 buses will operate around the parade area via Irving Park, Clark, Sheffield and Diversey to Clark. #76 and #77 buses will operate east to Sheffield before beginning trips west. #152 buses will operate east via Clark and Irving Park before ending their trips at inner Lake Shore and starting new trips west. #151 buses will use Belmont, outer Lake Shore and Fullerton to Stockton in both directions.
