EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE STARTING THE WEEKEND OF JULY 5 - 7

Taste of Chicago Festival Detours Buses Off Columbus Through SundayCTA buses that normally use Columbus are being detoured to Michigan between Roosevelt and Balbo for the Taste of Chicago Festival that ends Sunday, July 7. The affected routes are the #2 Hyde Park Express, #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #127 North Western/Madison, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Marine/Michigan Express. In addition, #7 Harrison and #126 Jackson buses are ending their eastbound trips via Michigan and Harrison to Wabash. New trips start north on Michigan from Balbo.

Sewer Work Closes Lincoln from Belmont to Addison July 8 - 11Lincoln Avenue will be closed between Belmont and Addison from 9 a.m. Monday, July 8, until 3 p.m. Thursday, July 11. #11 Lincoln buses will be detoured from Lincoln via Ashland and Addison to Lincoln in both directions.

Division Bridge Partially Closed East of Elston at Midday July 9 ? 10Alternate sides of the bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River east of Elston will be closed for repairs Tuesday and Wednesday, July 9 ? 10, from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. While the eastbound side is closed Tuesday, #70 Division buses will be detoured via Elston, Milwaukee, Chicago and Halsted back to Division. While the westbound side is closed Wednesday, #70 buses will make the same detour in reverse.

North Avenue Bridge Closed Overnight Wednesday, July 10Construction work will close the North Avenue Bridge across the Chicago River from 10 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 11. #72 North buses will be detoured via Clybourn, Cortland and Elston back to North in both directions.
