Sewer Work Affects Blue Line Subway Service Late Friday and SaturdaySewer cleaning in the Dearborn subway will require Blue Line trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe and Jackson stations from 10 p.m. Friday, January 18, until 6 a.m. Saturday, January 19, and during the same hours late Saturday and into early Sunday morning. A supplemental schedule will be in effect. Customers should allow extra travel time.
Extra CTA Service for Bulls and Bears Games Saturday, January 19 Michael Jordan's return to the United Center as a Washington Wizard for a noon game with the Chicago Bulls Saturday, January 19, will be served by extra buses on the #19 United Center Express route. From 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., #19 buses will run every 12 minutes, starting southbound on Michigan from Chicago. Buses stop on Michigan at Chicago, Illinois and Randolph, and on Madison at Wabash, State, Wells and Clinton before running express to the United Center.
For the Bears NFL playoff game at Soldier Field against the Philadelphia Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, #146 Marine/Michigan shuttle buses will begin operating at 1 p.m. southbound on State from Kinzie. Also serving Soldier Field will be #128 Soldier Field Express buses from the Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station, beginning at 12:15 p.m. #128 buses start their trips westbound on Madison in front of the Ogilvie Center, and stop eastbound on Jackson at Canal for Union Station before running express to Soldier Field. Red, Green and Orange Line trains serve Soldier Field from stations at Roosevelt near State.
Structure Work Affects O'Hare Branch Blue Line Trains Sunday, January 20 Structure work will require trains on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line to use a single track while serving the California station from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, January 20. Trains may be delayed. Customers should allow extra travel time for trips through the construction zone.
Detours Start Monday for Northbound Buses On State from Archer to 18th Construction on State will detour northbound buses between Archer and 18th for about four weeks, starting Monday, January 21. Northbound #29 State buses will operate via State, Cullerton, Wabash and 16th back to State. #62 Archer buses will operate via Archer, Clark and 18th to State. Southbound service will not be affected.
