Construction Closes Western at 19th Street Over the WeekendConstruction on the Cermak (Douglas) branch of the Blue Line will close Western between 19th and 21st from 7 p.m. Friday, January 10 until midnight Sunday, January 12. #49 Western and #X49 Western Express (Friday evening only) buses will be detoured northbound via Cermak, Hoyne and 19th back to Western. Southbound buses will operate via 18th, Hoyne and Cermak to Western.
Track Work Affects Forest Park Blue Line At Night January 12 - 16Track work on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line will require trains in both directions to use a single track while serving the stations at LaSalle, Clinton and Halsted from 9 p.m. until 4:30 a.m. nightly from Sunday, January 12 through Thursday, January 16.
Sewer Work Closes Northbound Lake Park from 55th to 56th January 13 - 16Sewer construction will close northbound Lake Park Avenue between 55th and 56th Streets from 9 a.m. Monday, January 13 until 5 p.m. Thursday, January 16. #28 Stony Island buses will be detoured off Stony Island northbound only via 57th, Cornell, Hyde Park and 55th to Lake Park.
Construction Closes Damen From Cullerton to 21st January 14 - 17 Construction on the Cermak (Douglas) branch of the Blue Line will close Damen from Cullerton to 21st from 3 p.m. until 5 a.m. daily Tuesday, January 14 through Friday, January 17. #50 Damen buses will be detoured in both directions via 18th, Western and Cermak back to Damen.
