EVENTS AFFECTING CTA SERVICE STARTING THE WEEKEND OF FEBRUARY 28 – MARCH 2

Construction Closes Madison from Michigan to Wabash Over the WeekendConstruction work will close Madison from Michigan to Wabash from 7 p.m. Friday, February 28 until 5 a.m. Monday, March 3. #20 Madison, #56 Milwaukee and #60 Blue Island/26th buses will operate west from Michigan on Randolph, go south on State, and stop for customers on State at Washington and at Madison before turning west on Madison over their regular routes.

Bridge Testing Closes Michigan at Wacker Late Friday, February 28The Michigan Avenue bridge will be closed for testing from 10 p.m. Friday, February 28 until 6 a.m. Saturday, March 1. #3 King Drive buses will operate north via Michigan, Wacker, State and Ohio to Michigan. Northbound buses on the #146 Marine/Michigan Express and 151 Sheridan routes will remain on State to Ohio before returning to Michigan. Southbound buses will operate off Michigan via Ontario and State. #3 and #151 buses will return to Michigan via Wacker. #146 buses will remain on State south to Congress.

Weekend Construction Closes Pulaski and California from 19th to 21st Construction on the Cermak (Douglas) Branch of the Blue Line will close Pulaski and California between 19th and 21st from 6 a.m. Saturday, March 1 until 5 a.m. Monday, March 3. #53 Pulaski buses will be detoured off Pulaski via 16th, Central Park, Cermak and Pulaski in both directions. #94 South California buses will be detoured off California via Ogden, Sacramento, Marshall, Cermak, and California in both directions.

Viaduct Construction Closes Diversey at Rockwell Saturday and SundayRebuilding of a Metra viaduct will close Diversey between Rockwell and California from 7 a.m. Saturday, March 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, March 2. #76 Diversey buses will be detoured off Diversey via Western, Logan, California and Diversey in both directions.

Track Work Affects Dan Ryan Branch Red Line Service Sunday, March 2Track work will require Red Line trains to use a single track in both directions while serving the Garfield station on the Dan Ryan Branch Sunday, March 2 from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. During this period, Red Line trains will operate every 15 minutes south of Roosevelt. Customers should allow extra time for their trips.
