Sewer Work Affects Blue Line Subway Service Late Friday and SaturdaySewer cleaning in the Dearborn subway will require Blue Line trains to use a single track while serving the Clark/Lake, Washington, Monroe and Jackson stations from 10 p.m. Friday, December 7, until 6 a.m. Saturday, December 8, and during the same hours late Saturday into Sunday morning.
#75 74th/75th Buses Begin Serving 79th/Dan Ryan Red Line Station SundayA six-month experimental routing change begins Sunday, December 9, allowing #75 74th/75th buses to serve the Red Line 'L' station at 79th. Instead of staying on 75th, east- and westbound #75 buses will go south on Lafayette to the 79th Street station and back north on State to 75th.
#151 Sheridan Night Owl Service Extends to Berwyn 'L' December 10Night owl service on the #151 Sheridan route will be extended to the Berwyn Red Line 'L' station starting Monday, December 10. Overnight service via Sheridan, Lawrence and Broadway to Wilson will be discontinued. Buses leaving Union Station from 12:30 a.m. until 3:30 a.m. will end their northbound trips via Sheridan, Foster and Broadway to the 'L' station at Berwyn.
North End of #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express Route Changes December 10 Northbound buses on the #136 Sheridan/LaSalle Express route will remain on Sheridan to Devon, starting Monday, December 10, to provide more direct service to Loyola University. #136 buses, which operate during weekday rush periods, currently end their northbound trips via Sheridan, Granville and Broadway to Devon.
#6 Jeffery Express Service Improvements Begin December 10 #6 Jeffery Express buses will operate a half hour later Monday through Saturday evenings starting Monday, December 10. The last two #6 buses will leave 103rd/Stony Island northbound at 11:45 p.m. and midnight. The last southbound trips will leave Columbus/South Water at 12:45 a.m. and 1 a.m. On Saturdays, starting December 15, early morning #6 buses will operate every 15 minutes instead of 20 to 30 minutes apart from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., when buses will resume running every 6 to 10 minutes until late in the evening.
