Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday and Saturday Sewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require Red Line trains to use a single track between Clark/Division and Grand from 11 p.m. Friday, August 2, until 6 a.m. Saturday, August 3, and again Saturday night until early Sunday. During this period, trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions while serving the stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
Halsted Bridges Closed for Deck Washing at Midday Monday - ThursdayThe Halsted bridge over the North Branch of the Chicago River will be closed for deck washing from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, August 5-6.#8 Halsted buses will be detoured off Halsted via Chicago, Larrabee and Division to Halsted in both directions. The Halsted bridge over the South Branch of the river will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, August 7-8. This closing will require a detour for #8 Halsted buses in both directions via Archer, Canal, and Cermak to Halsted.
