Rail Crossing Construction Closes 111th at Hale through April 30Rail crossing work is closing 111th at Hale for a week beginning Thursday, April 24 through Wednesday, April 30. #112 Vincennes/111th buses are being detoured in both directions via Vincennes, 115th, Longwood and 111th.

Sewer Cleaning Affects Blue Line Subway Overnight Friday and SaturdaySewer cleaning will require Blue Line trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Division, Chicago and Grand from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday, April 25 - 26, resulting in longer intervals between trains.

Helicopter Lift Closes Michigan from Monroe to Jackson Early SaturdayA helicopter lift will close Michigan from Monroe to Jackson from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26. Northbound #3 King Drive, #4 Cottage Grove and #6 Jeffery Express buses will be detoured via Jackson, Columbus, Monroe and Michigan. Southbound #3, #4, #145 Wilson/Michigan Express and #147 Outer Drive Express buses will use the same detour in the opposite direction. #126 Jackson buses will be detoured north via Congress, State and Adams. #151 Sheridan buses will operate south via Michigan, Madison, State and Adams.

March of Dimes Walk to Delay Some Downtown Bus Routes SundayThe March of Dimes will be holding a five-mile walk Sunday, April 27. Set-up will begin at 4:30 a.m., the walk will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the event will conclude no later than 2:00 p.m.The estimated 12,000 participants will assemble in Grant Park at Balbo Drive and Columbus Drive. Walkers will proceed north on Columbus to Monroe Street, west on Monroe to State Street, north in the northbound lanes of State Street to Wacker Drive, east on Wacker to Michigan Avenue, north on Michigan and Inner Lake Shore Drive to North Avenue and east on North to the lakefront before heading south on the bike path to the finish line at Arvey Field. At all points in the route other than on State Street, the walkers will use sidewalks. Therefore, traffic will be interrupted only as the walkers cross Michigan Avenue and its cross-streets.

Bridge Work Affects Brown Line Service to the Loop Early Sunday MorningWork on the Wells Street bridge will require Brown Line trains to end southbound trips at the Merchandise Mart with no Loop service between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Sunday, April 26. Shuttle buses will take customers between the Merchandise Mart and locations near Loop 'L' stations. Buses from the Merchandise Mart station will operate through the Loop making all stops within one block of all Loop stations via Wells, Kinzie, LaSalle, Jackson, State, Randolph, LaSalle and Hubbard to Wells.

Helicopter Lift Closes Stockton south of Fullerton Wednesday MorningA helicopter lift to a building on Lincoln Park West will close Stockton between Webster and Fullerton Wednesday, April 30 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle buses will be detoured off Stockton in both directions via Fullerton, Clark, Webster and Stockton.
