CTA Provides Extra Service for Blues Festival May 30 ? June 2Extra CTA service will be provided for fans attending the annual Chicago Blues Festival in Grant Park Thursday, May 30, through Sunday, June 2. (See attached press release for details.)
Printers Row Book Fair Detours Buses Off Dearborn at Polk Over Weekend The 16th Annual Printers Row Book Fair will close Dearborn between Polk and Harrison and Polk between State and Clark from about 9:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, until late Sunday, June 2, detouring four CTA bus routes. #22 Clark buses will end their southbound trips via Clark and Harrison to Wells before starting north from Congress on Dearborn over the regular route. #36 Broadway buses will end their southbound trips on State at Congress before starting northbound via Congress and Dearborn. Northbound #62 Archer buses will turn west from State to Dearborn at Congress. Afternoon rush period #129 West Loop/South Loop buses will operate via Clark and Congress to State and south over the regular route.
Construction Closes Pulaski at Cermak Saturday through Early Monday Pulaski will be closed for construction just north of Cermak from early Saturday June 1, until 5 a.m. Monday, June 3. #53 Pulaski buses will be detoured via Cermak, Kostner and 16th to Pulaski in both directions.
Closing of Van Buren at Sangamon Detours Buses Saturday and SundayThe dismantling of a construction crane will close Van Buren between Sangamon and Morgan from 7 a.m. Saturday, June 1, until about 7 p.m. Sunday, June 2. Westbound #126 Jackson buses will be detoured off Van Buren via Halsted, Harrison and Racine back to Van Buren. Eastbound service will not be affected.
Bhasakhi Parade Detours Buses off Devon at Ridge at Midday SaturdayThe Bhasakhi Parade will be held on Devon from Ridge to Western Saturday, June 1, from about 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. During this time #155 Devon buses will be detoured off Devon via Ridge, Lunt and Western to Devon in both directions.
Run for the Zoo Affects Stockton North of LaSalle Early Sunday, June 2The Run for the Zoo will affect traffic on Stockton Drive between LaSalle and Diversey intermittently Sunday, June 2, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., causing some delays for #151 Sheridan buses that regularly use Stockton.
