Extra Weekend Service for Flower and Garden Show at Navy PierThe Chicago Flower and Garden Show, which continues through Sunday, March 17 at Navy Pier, will be served over the weekend by extra buses on the CTA's #124 Navy Pier Express route that operate from Union Station and the Ogilvie Transportation Center (North Western Station) during all hours the show is open. Buses will run every 15 minutes, starting at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday and 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, stopping northbound on Canal at Adams for riders from Union Station, and at Madison and Washington for the Ogilvie Center before running express to Navy Pier. Besides #124 buses, Navy Pier is served daily by buses on the #29 State, #56 Milwaukee, #65 Grand and #66 Chicago routes.
South Side Irish Parade Detours Buses Off Western at 103rd Sunday The South Side Irish St. Patrick's Day Parade Sunday, March 17, will detour two CTA bus routes and one Pace route off Western between 103rd and 115th. The parade is scheduled to step off at noon southbound on Western from 103rd. Parade participants will assemble earlier, closing 103rd east of Western around 10:30 a.m. The CTA's #103 West 103rd buses will be detoured off 103rd via Longwood, 99th and Kedzie back to 103rd. #112 Vincennes/111th buses will operate via 111th, Longwood, 119th and Kedzie back to 111th. Pace #349 South Western buses will be detoured via 99th, Longwood and 119th back to Western.
Construction Detours Buses off 75th East of Woodlawn Starting MondayViaduct and other construction will close 75th Street east of Woodlawn/South Chicago for about two months starting Monday, March 18, detouring #75 74th/75th buses in both directions off 75th via South Chicago, 76th and Stony Island back to 75th.
