CTA Provides Extra Service for Gospel Festival June 7 - 9Extra CTA service will be provided for fans attending the annual Chicago Gospel Festival in Grant Park Friday, June 7, through Sunday, June 9.
Viaduct Construction Closes Belmont East of Kedzie Over the WeekendRailroad viaduct construction will close Belmont just east of Kedzie from 8 p.m. Friday, June 7 until 6 a.m. Monday, June 10. #77 Belmont buses will be detoured via Kedzie, Diversey and California to Belmont in both directions.
Street Fair Closes 47th from Ashland to Damen Saturday and SundayThe Back of the Yards Fiesta will close 47th between Ashland and Damen from early Saturday, June 8, until late Sunday night, June 9. #47 47th buses will be detoured via Damen, 51st and Ashland to 47th in both directions.
Street Fair Closes Clark from Foster to Balmoral Saturday and SundayThe Andersonville Midsommarfest will close Clark from Foster to Balmoral throughout the weekend of June 8-9. #22 Clark buses will be detoured off Clark southbound via Bryn Mawr, Ashland and Foster to Clark. Northbound buses will operate via Clark, Foster and Ashland to Clark.
?Bike The Drive? Closes Lake Shore from Hollywood to 67th Early Sunday The Chicagoland Bicycle Federation's ?Bike The Drive? will close Lake Shore Drive to southbound traffic from about 5:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 9, between Hollywood and 67th. #6 Jeffery Express buses will be detoured south via Michigan and 47th to Lake Park, making no stops between Roosevelt and 47th/Lake Park, where they will resume their regular routing. Southbound #145 Wilson/Michigan Express and #146 Marine/Michigan Express buses will operate via Sheridan, Stockton, LaSalle and inner Lake Shore to Oak, making no stops between Belmont and Oak. For cyclists on their way to the event, the CTA's Bike & Ride Program allows up to two bicycles on every 'L' car on weekends and holidays, and on weekdays except during rush periods. Also, racks that can hold up to two bicycles each are available on #63 63rd, #65 Grand, #72 North and #75 74th/75th buses daily.
Track Work Affects Brown Line Service West of Damen Sunday, June 9 Track work will require Brown Line trains to use a single track while serving the stations at Western, Rockwell and Francisco Sunday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
