Cleaning Affects Red Line Subway Overnight Friday, July 26 Sewer cleaning in the State Street subway will require Red Line trains to use a single track between Clark/Division and Grand from 11 p.m. Friday, July 26 until 6 a.m. Saturday, July 27. Trains will operate every 20 minutes in both directions while serving the stations at Clark/Division, Chicago and Grand.
CTA Provides Extra Service for Venetian Night, Saturday, July 27Extra CTA buses and longer trains will serve the downtown area Saturday, July 27, for Venetian Night.
Structure Work Affects North End of the Brown Line Sunday, July 28 Maintenance work will require Brown Line trains to use a single track while operating in both directions at the north end of the line Sunday, July 28, starting at 5 a.m. and continuing until 2:30 p.m. From 5 a.m. until 9 a.m., the single track zone will affect the stations at Francisco, Rockwell, Western, Damen, Montrose and Irving Park. From 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., only the stations at Francisco, Rockwell and Western will be affected. Customers should allow extra travel time to complete their trips.
Lake View 5K Run Affects Three Bus Routes Sunday Morning Preparations for the start of the Lake View Commemorative 5K Run will close Lincoln Avenue between Belmont and Wellington from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28. #11 Lincoln buses will be detoured via Ashland and Diversey back to Lincoln. The race will also affect service briefly on the #8 Halsted and #22 Clark routes later in the morning as participants move along the course.
