#19 United Center Express Buses Serve Dave Matthews Concert FridayThe CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses for the Dave Matthews concert, which starts at 7 p.m. Friday, December 13. #19 buses will start their trips at 5 p.m. from Chicago/Michigan, making stops southbound on Michigan at Illinois and Randolph. Operating west on Madison, the buses stop at Wabash, State, Wells and Clinton before running express to the United Center. #19 buses will leave Chicago/Michigan every 12 minutes from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The buses drop off and pick up customers for return trips to North Michigan Avenue eastbound on Madison near the United Center's Gate 3.
Fighting Illini Basketball Games Served by #19 Express Buses SaturdayUniversity of Illinois basketball games Saturday, December 14 at the United Center will be served by #19 United Center Express buses. The Fighting Illini men's team will face the Temple University Owls at 11 a.m., and the women's team will play the Mississippi State Bulldogs at 1:30 p.m. To serve both games #19 buses will begin trips from Chicago/Michigan every 12 minutes from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Return trips will operate from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. #19 buses stop southbound on Michigan at Illinois and Randolph, and westbound on Madison at Wabash, State, Wells and Clinton before running express to the United Center.
Weekend Construction Closes Central Park and Western at Cermak Construction on the Cermak (Douglas) branch of the Blue Line will close Central Park between Cermak and Ogden from 6 a.m. Saturday, December 14 until midnight Sunday, December 15. #82 Kimball/Homan buses will be detoured off Central Park via Cermak and Ogden to Central Park in both directions. Western will be closed between 19th and 21st from 3 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday, detouring #49 Western and #X49 Western Express buses off Western in both directions via Cermak, Hoyne and 19th to Western.
