Sunday Schedules in Effect Memorial Day Monday, May 27All CTA buses and trains will operate on a Sunday schedule for Memorial Day, Monday, May 27.
Extra Service to Navy Pier and Museum of Science Begins This Weekend#124 Navy Pier Express buses will begin seasonal weekend/holiday service to Navy Pier starting Friday, May 24, and continuing through Labor Day, Monday, September 2. Also operating from Memorial Day through Labor Day will be weekday service on the #10 Museum of Science & Industry route to the museum at 57th and Lake Shore. #10 buses serve the museum year-round on weekends and holidays.(See details about #124 and #10 summer service in the attached release.)
Construction Detours Three Bus Routes Off Fairbanks at Chicago May 24 - 27Removal of an overhead walkway across Fairbanks at Superior will detour three bus routes over the Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 24, through Monday, May 27. #3 King Drive, #66 Chicago and #157 Streeterville buses will operate around the construction site southbound via Chicago, inner Lake Shore, and Ontario to Fairbanks before returning to their regular routes. Northbound buses will be detoured from Fairbanks via Ohio, and Lake Shore to Chicago.
Viaduct Construction Closes Addison at Avondale May 24 ? 27Reconstruction of a Metra viaduct will close Addison at Avondale from 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, through early Tuesday, May 28. #152 Addison buses will be detoured eastbound off Addison north via Pulaski to the Kennedy Expressway and southeast on the expressway back to Addison. Westbound buses will operate via the expressway to Pulaski and Avondale back to Addison.
Memorial Day Parade at Noon Saturday Detours Buses Off ColumbusThe Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to start at noon, Saturday, May 25, north on Columbus from Balbo to Monroe. During the parade, buses on the #6 Jeffery Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #130 Grant Park Treasures and #146 Marine/Michigan Express routes will use Michigan instead of Columbus between Roosevelt and Balbo.
Pulaski Closed from Fullerton to Armitage May 28 ? 29 Sewer work will close Pulaski between Fullerton and Armitage from 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, until 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 29. #53 Pulaski buses will be detoured in both directions via Fullerton, Central Park and Armitage to Pulaski.
