NOTE: All CTA buses and trains will operate on a Sunday schedule on Memorial Day
The Chicago Transit Authority is a convenient and affordable transit option for those traveling around Chicago this Memorial Day weekend, including upcoming concerts at Soldier Field.
Customers are advised check individual bus schedules and to allow extra travel time.
Beyoncé concerts
CTA is providing extra service on routes that regularly serve Soldier Field on Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 for the Beyoncé concerts.
The additional service on the #130 Museum Campus and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express will run until approximately one hour after the concerts end.
Customers also can travel to Soldier Field via Red, Orange or Green line trains. The Roosevelt station is located at Roosevelt and State, a few blocks west of the stadium.
Memorial Day Parade
State Street and its cross streets will be closed from Wacker Drive to Van Buren from mid-morning until mid-afternoon on Saturday, May 28 for the Memorial Day Parade.
Affected bus routes include: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #J14 Jeffery Jump, #20 Madison, #29 State, #36 Broadway, #56 Milwaukee, #60 Blue Island/26th, #62 Archer, #126 Jackson, #130 Museum Campus, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Exp., #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan. Buses will be rerouted to adjacent streets.
Fleet Feet Sports Soldier Field 10 Mile Race
Museum Campus Drive will be closed from Waldron to McFetridge and Solidarity Drive from early-morning until afternoon on Saturday, May 28.
Affected bus routes include: #130 Museum Campus and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express. Buses will be rerouted to adjacent streets.
Bike the Drive Event
Lake Shore Drive between Bryn Mawr and 57th will be closed from early-morning until early-evening on Sunday, May 29 for the annual Bike the Drive event.
Affected bus routes include: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #J14 Jeffery Jump, #55 Garfield, #81 Lawrence, #84 Peterson, #130 Museum Campus, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express and #147 Outer Drive Express. Buses will be rerouted to adjacent streets.
