Slow Zone Work
Red Line Subway Trains Temporarily Rerouted to Elevated Tracks This Weekend
Service on the Red Line between the Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown stations will be rerouted in both directions from the subway to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. Friday, May 30 until 3 a.m. Monday, June 2.

Rerouted trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton: Roosevelt/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin, Sedgwick and Armitage. The Merchandise Mart station is available as an exit only (via stairway) on Saturday morning from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. and Sunday morning from 12:50 a.m. to 7:10 a.m.

Bus shuttle service will operate between the Clark/Division station and North/Clybourn station, stopping at the Sedgwick Brown Line station where customers may board Red Line trains.

Bus shuttle service also will operate from the Grand/State and Chicago/State stations to the Chicago/Franklin Brown Line station where customers may board Red Line trains.

Additional bus shuttle service will operate between Jackson/State, Harrison/State, Jackson/Wabash and Roosevelt/Wabash where customers may board Red Line trains.

Next Week
Northbound Red Line trains will be rerouted to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, June 2 through Friday morning, June 6.

Northbound Red Line trains will operate normally between the 95th and Cermak-Chinatown stations and between the Fullerton and Howard stations. Rerouted northbound trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton: Roosevelt/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin, Sedgwick and Armitage.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Weekend Blue Line Service from Cumberland to Rosemont Temporarily Suspended
Rail service between the Cumberland and Rosemont Blue Line stations will be temporarily suspended from 9 p.m. Friday, May 30 to 3 a.m. Monday, June 2, in order to replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.

Bus shuttles will operate as a substitute for rail service between the Cumberland and Rosemont stations. Customers should allow extra travel time.

Single Track in Effect on O'Hare Branch of the Blue Line
From 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Tuesday, June 3 through Friday morning, June 6,
a single track will be in effect between the Jefferson Park and Harlem Blue Line stations. Northbound customers at the Jefferson Park station must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Late Night Single Track in Effect for Brown Line Next Week
A single track will be in effect for southbound Brown Line trains between the Addison and Southport stations from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, June 2 until Friday morning, June 6.

During this time, southbound customers at the Addison and Southport stations must board and exit trains from the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Blue Line ? Other Events Affecting Service
Late Night Single Track in Effect for Blue Line Subway This Weekend
A single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line trains between the Grand and Damen stations from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning on Friday, May 30 and then again Saturday, May 31. During this time, northbound customers at the Grand, Chicago and Division stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Sunday
From 10 p.m. Sunday, June 1 until 4 a.m. the following morning, a single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line subway trains between LaSalle and Grand. During this time, Blue Line customers at the Jackson, Monroe, Washington and Clark/Lake stations must board and exit trains from the southbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Single Track in Effect on Forest Park Branch of Blue Line Monday Night
A late night single track will be in effect between the UIC-Halsted and Medical District Blue Line stations from 9 p.m. Monday, June 2 until 4 a.m. the following morning.

Southbound customers at the Racine and Medical District stations must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Green Line ? Other Events Affecting Service
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Green Line
From 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Sunday, June 1 until Friday morning, June 6,
a single track will be in effect between the Austin and Laramie Green Line stations while crews conduct track maintenance and repair work.

Southbound customers at the Central station must board and exit trains from the northbound side of platform.

Southbound customers at the Laramie station must board and exit trains on the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

New/Updated Changes in Bus Service
Late Night Street Closure Reroutes Downtown Buses
From 8 p.m. Friday, May 30 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 2, Chicago Avenue between Orleans and Wells will be closed while crews paint the Brown Line elevated structure. During this time, the #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick and #66 Chicago buses will be temporarily rerouted.

Southbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick buses will operate over the regular route along Chicago Avenue to Orleans then operate via Orleans, Erie, Wells and then resume the regular route.

#66 Chicago buses will operate in both directions via Chicago, Orleans, Erie, Wells to Chicago and then resume the regular route.

May Fest Temporarily Reroutes Buses
Leland Avenue between Western and Lincoln avenues will be closed until noon on Monday, June 2 for the annual May Fest. During this time #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick buses operating in both directions and southbound #49B North Western buses will be temporarily rerouted.

Southbound #11 Lincoln/Sedgwick buses will travel over the regular route along Western to Leland then will operate via Western, Montrose, Lincoln and resume the regular route. Northbound #11 buses will operate over the regular route along Lincoln to Wilson then will travel via Wilson, Western to Leland and resume the regular route.

Southbound #49B North Western buses will travel over the regular route along Western to Leland then will operate via Western, Montrose, Lincoln, Wilson return to Western and resume the regular route.

#81 Lawrence Service Stop Changes
Due to nearby construction, the westbound far side service stop on Lawrence at California served by #81 Lawrence buses will be temporarily relocated to a near side stop, until Friday, August 1.

Street Festival Temporarily Reroutes #70 Division Buses
From 1 a.m. Saturday, May 31 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 2, Division Street between Damen and Leavitt will be closed for the Do Division Street Festival and Sidewalk Sale.

During this time #70 Division buses operating in both directions will travel over the regular route along Division then will operate via Western, Augusta, Damen to Division and resume the regular route.

Buses Rerouted on Saturdays for the Near North Farmer's Market
From 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Saturday beginning May 31 through October 25, Division Street between State and Clark will be closed for the Near North Farmer's Market.

During this time, southbound #36 Broadway buses will travel over the regular route to Clark then will operate via Clark, Maple to State and then resume the regular route. Northbound #36 buses will operate over the regular route to State then will travel via State, Elm to Clark and then resume the regular route.

Eastbound #70 Division buses will travel over the regular route to Division and then will operate via Division, Clark, Maple to Dearborn and resume the regular route. Westbound service is not affected.

Buses Rerouted for the Annual Run for the Zoo Race
On Sunday, June 1 from 6 a.m. to noon, the #76 Diversey, #77 Belmont and #151 Sheridan buses will be rerouted due to street closures for the annual Run for the Zoo race.

Eastbound #76 Diversey buses will operate over the regular route along Diversey to Sheridan then will operate via Sheridan, Belmont, Lake Shore Drive West to Diversey and then resume the regular route.

Eastbound #77 Belmont buses will end their route on Lake Shore Drive West at Diversey and will then begin westbound service. Westbound #77 buses will operate along Diversey from Lake Shore Drive West to Sheridan and then resume the regular route.

#151 Sheridan buses operating in both directions will travel over the regular route along Sheridan to Diversey then will operate via Sheridan, Lakeview, Fullerton, Lincoln Park West, Clark, LaSalle to Inner Lake Shore Drive and then resume the regular route.

Helicopter Lift Temporarily Reroutes Loop Buses on Sunday
Due to a helicopter lift on Sunday, June 1, State Street between Madison and Monroe and Madison Street between Wabash and Dearborn will be closed from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. During this time, the following 14 bus routes will be temporarily rerouted to nearby streets: #6 Jackson Park Express, #10 Museum of Science & Industry, #14 Jeffrey Express, #20 Madison, #29 State, #36 Broadway, #56 Milwaukee, #60 Blue Island/26th, #62 Archer, #124 Navy Pier, #145 Wilson/Michigan Express, #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express, #147 Outer Drive Express and #151 Sheridan.

Temporary Relocation of Bus Service Stop
From 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 9, the southbound bus stop at Lake Shore Drive West and Belmont will be temporarily relocated one block north to Sheridan and Melrose, due to water main replacement work. The #135 Clarendon/LaSalle Express, #145 Wilson/Michigan Express and #146 Inner Drive/Michigan Express buses serve this stop.

Ongoing Bus Reroutes
Buses Rerouted on Pulaski Due to Construction
#53 Pulaski buses are rerouting until Tuesday, July 15 due to water main repairs at Pulaski and Roscoe.

#53 buses will operate in both directions via Pulaski, Belmont, Cicero, Addison then return to Pulaski and resume the regular route.

Buses Rerouted on Ridge Avenue Due to Road Reconstruction
Due to road reconstruction on Ridge Avenue between Howard Street and Main Street, the #201 Central Ridge and #206 Evanston Circulator buses will be rerouted until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 31.

Southbound #201 and #206 buses will travel along Ridge then will operate via Main, Asbury, Howard, Ridge and then resume the regular route.

Buses Reroute for Construction Through September
#87 87th buses continue to be rerouted in both directions until 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 17 due to street reconstruction.

Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route to Vincennes then will operate via Vincennes, 83rd, Lafayette then return to 87th and resume the regular route. Westbound buses will travel over the regular route to State then will operate via State, 83rd, Vincennes then return to 87th and resume the regular route.

Buses Reroute Downtown for Construction
From midnight each night until 6 a.m. the following morning Randolph Street will be closed from State to Dearborn through Saturday, November 1.

In addition, Dearborn Street is closed between Washington and Randolph from 9 p.m. each day until 6 a.m. the following morning through Saturday, November 1.

Northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will travel over the regular route to Washington then will operate via State, Wacker then return to Dearborn and resume the regular route.

Bridge Reconstruction Reroutes Buses
Reroute of #205 Chicago/Golf buses will continue until November 16, due to bridge reconstruction on Emerson between Leland and McCormick.

#205 Buses will operate in both directions via Church, McCormick to Golf and then resume the regular route.

Buses Rerouted on Harrison Due to Construction
Harrison Street between Paulina Street and Ashland Avenue continues to be closed until Thursday, January 1, 2009, due to the construction of the Harrison Street Tunnel. During this time, eastbound #7 Harrison and #126 Jackson buses will be rerouted.

Eastbound #7 buses will travel over the regular route to Paulina then will operate via Polk, Ashland to Harrison and resume the regular route.

Eastbound #126 buses will travel over the regular route to Harrison then will operate via Harrison, Wood, Polk, Ashland to Harrison and resume the regular route.

Buses Reroute at Clark and Polk
Until further notice, #22 Clark and #36 Broadway buses will be rerouted in the area of Clark and Polk streets and will not be providing any service south of Harrison.

Southbound #22 Clark customers traveling to Polk will need to transfer to a #24 Wentworth bus prior to Congress (or a #129 West Loop/South Loop bus available only on weekdays during the morning and evening rush periods) to complete their trip.

Southbound #36 Broadway customers traveling to Polk will need to transfer to a #29 State or #62 Archer bus prior to Congress to complete their trip.

Both northbound #22 and #36 customers can board buses north of Harrison on Dearborn.

Bus Service Changes Due to Construction at State and Grand
#36 Broadway and southbound #29 State buses are rerouting until further notice at Grand Avenue and State Street due to construction at the Red Line's Grand station.

Southbound #36 and #29 buses will travel over the regular route to Grand then will operate via Clark to Illinois then return to State and resume the regular route.

Northbound #36 buses will travel over the regular route to Dearborn then will operate via Dearborn to Ohio, then return to State and resume the regular route.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Buses Reroute Due to Construction
Halsted is closed at Root Street between the hours of 6 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again at 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. each day until further notice, due to construction.

#43 43rd buses will operate in both directions via Halsted, 45th Street, Morgan to Exchange and then resume the regular route.

#60 Blue Island/26th Buses Rerouted Due to Lane Closure
Until further notice, Laflin Street between Cermak and 21st Place will be closed to all traffic due to construction at Benito Juarez School.

#60 Blue Island/26th buses operating in both directions will travel over the regular route to Cermak then will operate via Cermak, Loomis, 21st Street then return to Laflin and resume the regular route.
