Slow Zone Work
Northbound Red Line Trains to Temporarily Reroute to Elevated Tracks This Weekend
While work is under way to eliminate slow zones, northbound Red Line trains that normally operate through the subway between the Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton stations will reroute to the elevated tracks from noon (12 p.m.) Saturday, May 3 until 3 a.m. Monday, May 5. Elevated stations are located within a block of Red Line subway stations in the Loop. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. Red Line trains will operate normally between the Fullerton and Howard stations and between the 95th and Cermak-Chinatown stations.
Rerouted trains will stop at the following elevated stations between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton: Roosevelt/Wabash, Adams/Wabash, Madison/Wabash, Randolph/Wabash, State/Lake, Clark/Lake, Merchandise Mart, Chicago/Franklin and Sedgwick. The Merchandise Mart station is available as an exit only (via stairway) on Saturday morning from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. and Sunday morning from 12:50 a.m. to7:10 a.m.
Next Week
Southbound Red Line trains will be rerouted from the subway to the elevated tracks from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. four nights next week from Monday, May 5 through Friday morning, May 9.
Southbound Red Line trains will operate normally between the Howard and Fullerton stations and between the Cermak-Chinatown and 95th Street stations.
Northbound Red Line service is not affected weeknights.
Thursday Evening
On Thursday, May 8, southbound Red Line trains will be routed down Wells and Van Buren in the Loop from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. the next day. Red Line trains will stop at Washington/Wells, Quincy/Wells, LaSalle/Van Buren and Library Stations. Customers who wish to travel southbound from downtown stations can access southbound Red Line trains at any of the elevated stations along Lake or Wabash streets on the Inner Loop track except on Thursday night when they must use stations on Wells or Van Buren. Customers who wish to travel southbound from the North/Clybourn, Clark/Division, Chicago or Grand Red Line stations can board a northbound train and exit at Fullerton to board southbound Red Line trains. Customers traveling southbound to downtown should exit Red Line trains at any elevated station along Lake or Wabash except on Thursday night when they should exit at any elevated station along Wells or Van Buren.
Southbound customers who wish to exit at the North/Clybourn, Clark/Division, Chicago or Grand stations should travel to the State/Lake elevated station and exit to the Lake Street Red Line subway station to board a northbound Red Line train except on Thursday when they should travel to the Library elevated station and exit to the Jackson Red Line subway station to board a northbound Red Line train. This transfer could also be made between the elevated Roosevelt and subway Roosevelt stations. Southbound customers are asked to allow extra travel time.

Weekend Blue Line Service from Harlem to Rosemont Temporarily Suspended
Rail service between the Rosemont, Cumberland and Harlem Blue Line stations will be temporarily suspended from 9 p.m. Friday, May 2 to 3 a.m. Monday, May 5 in order to replace deteriorated rail ties, tie plates and spikes.
Bus shuttles will operate as a substitute for rail service between the Harlem, Cumberland and Rosemont stations. Extra travel time is advisable.

Red and Brown Line Trains Temporarily Reroute Between Fullerton and Belmont
From 1 a.m. Saturday, May 3 until 6 p.m. Sunday, May 4, southbound Red and Brown Line trains will be temporarily rerouted between Belmont and Fullerton while crews conduct slow zone elimination work.
During this time, southbound Brown Line trains will be unable to stop at Diversey. Southbound Brown Line customers who wish to exit at Diversey should exit at Fullerton and board a northbound train to Diversey. Customers boarding at Diversey who wish to travel southbound should board a northbound train and exit at Belmont to board a southbound train.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Northbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to operate on the Brown Line tracks from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day beginning Monday, May 5 through Thursday, May 8.
During these times, Red Line customers at Belmont must board and exit trains on the Brown Line side of the platform. Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Late Night Reroute of Brown Line Trains at Belmont and Fullerton
From 8 p.m. each day until 4 a.m. the following morning on Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6, northbound Brown Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to operate on Red Line tracks at the Fullerton and Belmont stations.
During these times, northbound Brown Line trains will be unable to stop at Diversey. Northbound Brown Line customers who wish to exit at Diversey should exit at Belmont and board a southbound train to Diversey. Customers boarding at Diversey who wish to travel northbound should board a southbound train and exit at Fullerton to board a northbound train.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Brown Line Trains Temporarily Rerouted at BelmontNorthbound Brown Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to operate on the Red Line tracks from 8 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Wednesday, May 7 through Friday, May 9.
During these times, northbound customers at Belmont must board and exit trains from the northbound Red Line platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Late Night Single Track in Effect for Blue Line Subway This Weekend
A single track will be in effect for northbound Blue Line trains between the Grand and Damen stations from 9 p.m. Saturday, May 3 until 6 a.m. Sunday, May 4. During this time, northbound customers at the Grand, Chicago and Division stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.
From 8 p.m. Sunday, May 4 until 3 a.m. Monday, May 5, a single track will be in effect for southbound Blue Line trains between Damen and Grand. During this time, southbound customers at Division, Chicago and Damen must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Daytime Single Track in Effect on Green Line
A single track will be in effect between the Ashland and Halsted stations on the Green Line from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day on Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4.Northbound customers at the Halsted station must board and exit trains on the southbound platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Single Track in Effect on Brown Line
Due to track maintenance work, a single track will be in effect between the Western and Kedzie Brown Line stations from 9 p.m. Sunday, May 4 until 4 a.m. Monday, May 5.
Southbound customers at the Francisco and Rockwell stations must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.
Southbound customers at the Western station must board and exit trains from the northbound platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Forest Park Branch of Blue Line
A single track will be in effect between the Racine and LaSalle stations on the Blue Line from 9 p.m. Monday, May 5 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 6.
Southbound customers at the UIC-Halsted, Clinton and LaSalle stations must board and exit trains on the northbound side of the platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
Late Night Single Track in Effect on Brown Line Next Week
A single track will be in effect between the Western and Kedzie stations on the Brown Line from 9 p.m. Monday, May 5 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, May 6.
Northbound customers at the Rockwell and Francisco stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.
Northbound customers at the Western station must board and exit trains from the southbound platform.

Late Night Single Track in Effect at the Cumberland Blue Line StationFrom 8 p.m. until 4 a.m. each day beginning Tuesday, May 6 through Friday morning, May 9, a single track will be in effect at the Cumberland Blue Line station. Southbound customers at the Cumberland station must board and exit trains from the northbound side of the platform.

A single track will be in effect between the Austin and Harlem stations on the Green Line from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. each day on Wednesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 8.
Southbound customers at the Ridgeland, Oak Park and Austin stations must board and exit trains on the northbound side of platform.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.
South Entrances to Grand Red Line Station Temporarily Closed
The southeast and southwest entrances to the Grand Red Line station are temporarily closed due to the reconstruction of the Grand station mezzanine and platform.
Customers can access the station from the northeast and northwest entrances.
In addition, the westbound near side stop at Grand and State served by #65 Grand buses has been relocated to a far side stop.
Buses Rerouted This Weekend Due to Brown Line Construction Work
Beginning at 9 p.m. Friday, May 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, #77 Belmont buses will be rerouted due to construction work associated with the Brown Line Rehabilitation project.
#77 buses operating in both directions will travel over the regular route to Belmont then will operate via Sheffield, Addison, Halsted then return to Belmont and resume the regular route.
Howard Station Construction Reroutes Buses This Weekend
#201 Central/Ridge buses will temporarily reroute from 7 p.m. Friday, May 2 until5 a.m. Monday, May 5. Buses will operate via Ashland, Howard, Rogers, Sheridan, Howard and Rogers to Howard via the Howard Terminal. Customers will board westbound buses at Ashland/Howard.
Buses Temporarily Rerouted for annual Bark in the Park 5K Walk
#78 Montrose buses will be temporarily rerouted on Saturday, May 3 from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. due to the annual Bark in the Park 5K walk. Eastbound #78 buses will operate over the regular route to Wilson then will operate via Marine to Montrose and then resume the regular route.
Buses Rerouted Due To Construction Through May 10
Westbound #170 University of Chicago/Midway and #192 University of Chicago Hospitals Express buses continue to be rerouted until May 10, due to construction on 59th Street at Drexel.
#170 buses will travel over the regular route to Ellis then will operate via Ellis, Midway Plaisance, Drexel to Cottage Grove and then resume the regular route.
#192 University of Chicago Hospitals Express buses will travel over the regular route to Ellis then will operate via Ellis, Midway Plaisance, Drexel, Midway Plaisance then return to Cottage Grove and resume the regular route.
A temporary stop has been placed on Drexel to accommodate the service.
Bus Service Changes Due to Construction at State and Grand
#36 Broadway and southbound #29 State buses are rerouting until further notice at Grand Avenue and State Street due to construction at the Red Line's Grand station.
Southbound #36 and #29 buses will travel over the regular route to Grand then will operate via Clark to Illinois then return to State and resume the regular route.
Northbound #36 buses will travel over the regular route to Dearborn then will operate via Dearborn to Ohio, then return to State and resume the regular route.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Buses Rerouted Due to Construction
Southbound #201Central/Ridge and #206 Evanston Circulator buses will be rerouted until 5 a.m. Thursday, July 31 due to street reconstruction.
#201 and #206 buses will travel over the regular route to Greenleaf then will operate via Greenleaf, Asbury, Howard, Ridge and then resume the regular route.
Buses Rerouted on Pulaski Due to Construction
#53 Pulaski buses are rerouting until Tuesday, July 15 at Pulaski and Roscoe, due to water main repairs.
#53 buses will operate in both directions via Pulaski, Belmont, Kimball, Addison then return to Pulaski and resume the regular route.
Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.
Buses Reroute for Construction Through September
#87 87th buses continue to be rerouted in both directions until 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 17 due to street reconstruction.
Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route to Vincennes then will operate via Vincennes, 83rd, Lafayette then return to 87th and resume the regular route. Westbound buses will travel over the regular route to State then will operate via State, 83rd, Vincennes then return to 87th and resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute Downtown for Construction
From midnight each night until 6 a.m. the following morning Randolph Street will be closed from State to Dearborn through Saturday, November 1.
In addition, Dearborn Street is closed between Washington and Randolph from 9 p.m. each day until 6 a.m. the following morning through Saturday, November 1.
Northbound #22 Clark, #36 Broadway and #62 Archer buses will travel over the regular route to Washington then will operate via Monroe, State, Wacker then return to Dearborn and resume the regular route.
Bridge Reconstruction Reroutes Buses
Reroute of #205 Chicago/Golf buses will continue until November 16, due to bridge reconstruction on Emerson between Leland and McCormick.
#205 Buses will operate in both directions via Church, McCormick to Golf and then resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute Due to Construction
Halsted is closed at Root Street between the hours of 6 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. and again at4 p.m. until 6 p.m. each day until further notice, due to construction.
#43 43rd buses will operate in both directions via Halsted, 45th Street, Morgan to Exchange and then resume the regular route.
Buses Reroute at Clark and Polk
Until further notice, #22 Clark and #36 Broadway buses will be rerouted in the area of Clark and Polk streets.
Southbound #22 buses will travel over the regular route to Harrison then will operate via Harrison, Wells for the end of route. Northbound buses will leave from Harrison-Wells via Wells, Polk, Dearborn and then resume the regular route.
Southbound #36 Broadway buses will travel over the regular route to State then will operate via State, Harrison, Wells for the end of the route. Northbound will leave from Harrison-Wells via Wells, Polk, Dearborn and then resume the regular route.
