Slow Zone Work
Red and Brown Line Trains Temporarily Reroute at Fullerton
From 8 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, March 24 through Friday morning, March 28,
Red and Brown Line trains will be temporarily rerouted at Fullerton while crews conduct slow zone work.

During this time, northbound Red and Brown Line customers must board and exit trains where southbound Red Line trains normally stop.

Southbound Red Line customers at Fullerton must board and exit trains on the southbound Brown Line side of the platform.

During the same hours, northbound Brown Line trains will be unable to stop at Wellington. Northbound Brown Line customers who wish to exit at Wellington should exit at Paulina and board a southbound train back to Wellington. Customers boarding at Wellington who wish to head northbound should board a southbound train and exit at Belmont to board a northbound train.

Daytime Reroute at Fullerton
A single track will be in effect at Fullerton from 6 a.m. until
6 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. Northbound Brown Line customers at Fullerton must board and exit trains on the Red Line side of platform.

Next Week
Northbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to the Brown Line tracks at Fullerton from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day beginning Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28.

Northbound Red Line customers at Fullerton must board and exit trains on the Brown Line side of the platform.

Northbound Red Line Trains Temporarily Reroute at Sheridan
Northbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to operate on the Purple Express tracks from 7 a.m. until
3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22.

During these times, northbound customers at Sheridan will board and exit trains on the Purple Express side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Next Week
Northbound Red Line trains at Sheridan will operate on the northbound Purple Express tracks from 10:50 a.m. until
2 p.m. each day beginning Tuesday, March 25 through Friday, March 28.

During these times, northbound customers at Sheridan will board and exit trains on the Purple Express side of the platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Daytime Reroute at Belmont
Southbound Red Line trains will be temporarily rerouted to the Brown Line tracks at Belmont from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day beginning Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28.

Southbound Red Line customers at Belmont must board and exit trains on the Brown Line side of the platform.

In addition, #77 Belmont buses will be rerouted from 9:15 p.m. each night until 5 a.m. the following morning beginning Monday, March 24 through Saturday, March 29.

#77 buses will operate in both directions via Belmont, Sheffield, Addison, Halsted then return to Belmont and resume the regular route.

Late Night Single Track in Effect on Blue Line Next Week
A single track will be in effect between the Harlem and Cumberland stations on the O'Hare branch of the Blue Line from 8 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning beginning Wednesday, March 26 through Friday morning, March 28.

Southbound customers at the Harlem stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Other Events Affecting Service
Late Night Single Track in Effect on O'Hare Branch of Blue Line
A single track will be in effect between the Western and Damen stations from 11 p.m. on Friday, March 21 until
7 a.m. Saturday, March 22.

Southbound Blue Line customers at Western and Damen must board and exit trains on the northbound platform.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time. CTA operators will announce the direction of each train.

Single Track in Effect on Forest Park Branch of Blue Line
A single track will be in effect between the Western and Racine stations on the Forest Park branch of the Blue Line from 8 p.m. each night until 4 a.m. the following morning on Monday,
March 24 through Wednesday morning, March 26.

Northbound customers at the Racine and Medical Center stations must board and exit trains on the southbound side of the platform.

Daytime Single Track in Effect at Armitage
A single track will be in effect on the Brown Line affecting customers at the Armitage station from 6:30 a.m. until
6:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22.

Northbound customers must board and exit trains on the southbound platform at Armitage.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

Buses Undergo Reroute on State Street
Southbound #29 State buses are rerouting until further notice at Grand and State Street due to construction on the Red Line's Grand station.

Buses will travel over the regular route to Grand then will operate via Clark to Hubbard then return to State and resume the regular route.

Customers are advised to allow extra travel time.

In addition, the northeast entrance to the Grand subway station will be closed temporarily. Customers can access the station through nearby entrances.

#19 United Center Express Serves Bulls and Blackhawks Games
CTA will operate its #19 United Center Express buses on the following dates and times:

  • Saturday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m. " Bulls versus Indiana Pacers
  • Sunday, March 23 at 2 p.m. " Blackhawks versus St. Louis Blues
  • Tuesday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. " Bulls versus Atlanta Hawks

Buses will leave every 12 minutes from Michigan and Superior starting two hours before game time until 30 minutes before the events begin. When the game ends, #19 buses will depart the United Center approximately every 15 minutes for one hour.

#19 buses will make all stops on Michigan from Superior to Washington, and on Madison from Wabash to Clinton. From Clinton, #19 buses run express to the United Center.

After the game, #19 buses will await customers on the north side of the United Center eastbound on Madison near Gate 3. On the return trip, #19 buses operate through downtown east on Washington to Wacker, then head south to Monroe and east to Michigan, making all stops to Michigan before turning north on Michigan and making all stops from Randolph to Chicago.

#10 Museum of Science & Industry Bus Extended Hours for Spring Break Service
To accommodate longer spring break hours at the Museum of Science & Industry, #10 Museum of Science & Industry buses will operate later through Sunday,
March 30 and will operate approximately every 15 minutes.

From 4 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 22 eastbound #10 Museum of Science & Industry buses will be temporarily rerouted. Buses will travel over the regular route to Mies van der Rohe then will operate via Chicago, Inner Lake Shore Drive, Walton to Dewitt and then resume the regular route.

Bus Stops Temporarily Relocated
Grand
The westbound bus stop at Grand and State that is served by #65 Grand buses has been temporarily relocated until further notice to a far side stop due to construction at the Grand Red Line station.

Madison
The westbound bus stop at Madison and Wells has been temporarily relocated from a far side stop to a near side stop. The stop is served by: #14 Jeffery Express; #20 Madison; #X20 Washington/Madison Express; #56 Milwaukee; #60 Blue Island/26th Street; #124 Navy Pier; #127 Madison/Roosevelt Circulator and #157 Streeterville buses.

Diversey Buses Reroute at Brown Line Station
Diversey Avenue will be closed at the Brown Line station due to construction work. #76 Diversey buses will operate in both directions via Diversey, Sheffield, Fullerton, Halsted then return to Diversey and resume the regular route.

Bridge Construction Reroutes Buses
Buses along the #174 University of Chicago/Garfield Stations route will run on 57th Street between Ellis and Drexel avenues due to bridge construction beginning at
6 a.m. Friday, March 21 until March 31.

Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route through Washington Park to 55th then will operate via 55th, Ellis then return to 57th and resume the regular route.

Buses Reroute Due To Construction
Westbound #170 University of Chicago/Midway and #192 University of Chicago Hospitals Express buses continue to be rerouted until May 10 due to construction on 59th Street at Drexel.

#170 buses will travel over the regular route to Ellis then will operate via Ellis, Midway Plaisance, Drexel to Cottage Grove and then resume the regular route.

#192 University of Chicago Hospitals Express buses will travel over the regular route to Ellis then will operate via Ellis, Midway Plaisance, Drexel, Midway Plaisance then return to Cottage Grove and resume the regular route.

A temporary stop has been placed on Drexel to accommodate the service.

Buses Reroute for Construction Through September
#87 87th buses continue to be rerouted in both directions until
5 a.m. Wednesday, September 17 due to street reconstruction.

Eastbound buses will travel over the regular route to Vincennes then will operate via Vincennes, 83rd, Lafayette then return to 87th and resume the regular route. Westbound buses will travel over the regular route to State then will operate via State, 83rd, Vincennes then return to 87th and resume the regular route.
